Taobao has once again worked it's crazy wizardry to look into the future of pony toys. Apparently the next blindbag pony set will include male ponies. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they have ever actually had a whole lot of these in the past! Has our sphere of influence finally reached the marketing department? Are we slowly becoming the primary demographic? Is that a glow in the dark pony in the second picture?
Only time will tell.

Now we just need to convince them to produce some Derpy, Trixie, Gilda, Scratch, and Nightmare Moon!

...Well, if I end up not being able to get used to that, I can always make clay models instead.
At some point, the sales division really needs to be better coordinated with the FIM animation team .

ReplyDeleteI wish these would be released in the US, and not just the wave 1s that are only at J.C. Penney Outlet stores. I need these, but paying international shipping is really hard on the wallet. I don't understand why Hasbro doesn't just sell them at Wal-Mart and Target like the rest of their pony merch. Then I could get the ones I want without having to pay a ton for them to get them from Germany or Australia.

ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw these I was totally psyched to see best pony (AKA Lyra) there in the blindbag set. But then they messed up and made Berry Punch a unicorn? Really? I am disappoint.
