ReplyDeleteAnd these are just the storyboards. We haven't even actually touched on the animating just yet. :P It takes mucho timo... or whatever. But like any art, the time spent is worth it when you get the final product all shining and finished. :)

I'm blown. I genuinely thought this was a leaked storyboard of an upcoming episode. Color me surprised; this definitely made my very day. :)
ReplyDeleteJust seeing the artist mimic the FiM storyboards is a fresh take on fanart. It may be time consuming but damn, it makes me wanna see the final product so badly!

ReplyDeleteI stopped midway not wanting to spoil the episode (Double Rainboom sounds so awesome!), but then I read these comments and realised that it's a fan craft. Good job, Flamingo! You could build a pretty good portfolio with stuff like this.

ReplyDeleteSethisto, As an animator, animation is a vary difficult art medium in all forms. you must be presist otherwise things can go wrong. Getting things thighten and cleaned up is the most challenging since your finalizing it for the audience to see

For a real storyboard, that would correspond to the first two minutes of an episode. Still; quite good.

Aside from the troll face this reads exactly like an MLP scene. I mean, really. No wonder Present Prank was so good. I can only imagine the work that goes into something like this!
