Yay! Octavia! Again.....!! its not that I dont like octavia, but I just have been seeing a lot of her lately. Dont get me wrong, though, I love octavia music. Its usually the more well-done songs

ReplyDelete#2 was the first one I listened to because AspectOfTheStorm is freakin' fantastic and his other videos are awesome. This one is just as high quality and epic as his other Octavia pieces. I must have it. I like love this type of music.
ReplyDelete#3: Like #2 in many ways, except not as solemn sounding. Still an amazing piece, though. Great job. This music is starting to make me appreciate Octavia much more as a pony.
#1 was cool. I liked the beat. Quite awesome. Some of the sounds didn't mesh well, but it still was nice.
Overall, pretty fantastic music!
The next one should be, "Octavia's overused music title."
ReplyDeleteBad humour aside, #1 was decent, it had its moments, but it just got weird at times(I guess that sort of fits with the song and all).
Octavia's chaos... would love to hear it.
ReplyDeleteNumber 1 has an interesting intro. Good song, but the intro is sorta repeated throughout the whole song. Maybe its just the genre that im not familiar with, but okay.
ReplyDeleteNumber 2 lives up to the name. it is a great composition. And thats saying something
Number 3 reminded me instantly of another song for the first couple seconds. (theme of Mentar: Fraud, by Kisuke, or Pon-E sharp. Gotta hand to the guy, thats a nice nickname!) Love the solo instrument feel, also greatly composed

ReplyDelete@Jelfes well, on average, the amount of words used daily are slowly but steadily decreasing in America. Now around 2,300 words that are considered daily words, wheras as far as words that can be used, its much higher

ReplyDeleteReally like #3, the part around 1:45 has a really enjoyable sound to it. I loved the whole thing, lots of energy behind the playing. The part around 0:40 was another part I really enjoyed.

Haha, and that's why I pre-read for people; I can't read something without paying attention to spelling and punctuation.

ReplyDelete#1 Kinda unique tune. Discord songs tend to variate from most others a little more, which is cool. Decent overall.
#2 Pretty good. Was slow and soft, gave me a little feeling of sorrow behind it I suppose. Nice job.
#3 I really quite enjoyed this one. Sounded splendid. :)

And I just flat-out dont really care for grammar and such when typing comments. If I were serious though, grammar always came easy to me. Its the sleep deprivation that really gets me. I, like Jelfes, tend to go into auto-pilot-grammar-nazi mode when reading

ReplyDelete#1 Wow, this is cool. Lots of creativity, but it wasn't QUITE as developed as I would have liked. Obviously the composer is talented so I think it could have been pushed even further into chaos. But I love how it starts so sweet and peppy, and slowly descends into more madness and randomness. I quite like that piece. Guitars were mixed awfully loudly though.
#2 Nice stuff, but it got a little repetitive for my tastes. The change-up near the middle was very much welcomed, but came a bit too late to save the piece. Very pretty and soothing music, but not something I would listen to over and over again.

#3 this is ridiculously classical sounding, and its making me squee for some reason. The only thing i'd say could improve this is having a piano accompaniment. (Piano major coming out)

We can never have enough Octavia considering the fact that we will probably only see her as a cameo at most in Season 2. In fact, most of the other one-shot ponies from season 1 may not even show up, unless the animators decide to throw them in somewhere. Kinda like how DJ PON-3 or Luna showed up for about 5 seconds in season 1 and then never seen again.
ReplyDeleteUnless of course Octavia was Pinkie's sister, then she might show up for a longer period of time. But we probably won't find out for a really long time, if ever.
#2 I really like it. Though very simple (only strings playing relatively plain melodies), it's absolutely beautiful. I wish I could compose stuff like that...
