So, some guy ponified his entire dorm room. I'm pretty sure this qualifies him as the most badflank person to room with at any college. I would have posted his information here so you could stalk him, but I couldn't find him on Google. Just kidding, that's creepy.

This isn't just a dorm room... this is a DORM HALL/WING, fellow bronies. And it looks like the RA for this section is the brony who decorated it. Not a bad job of it either; doing giant wall-art can be a real pain to get looking right, because mistakes are easier to see.

ReplyDeleteIf he's the dorm RA then it's not at all invasive. It also isn't pushing ideas onto anybody. If people want to take down the ponies on their door or move them to another spot it' up to them, but the RAs do have the right to decorate (within reason) as they please, given to them by the university.
Whether you're a brony or not, it would be so weird to wake up, stumble out of your room and find that. Hilarious.

ReplyDeleteIt's too much. I like ponies, so I personally wouldn't mind this. But I wouldn't want to live in a dorm with Spongebob Squarepants or Transformers covering every wall, and I imagine people not into MLP wouldn't want to live in a dorm with MLP on every wall.

ReplyDeleteOne of the floors in my dorm has decorations of old Nickalodeon kids shows. Another has sports teams. A floor with pictures of ponies throughout wouldn't be that out of place.

ReplyDeleteFor anyone who is not in college, this is completely within the realms of what you'd expect an RA to do. We've had alphabet, pokemon, and Star Wars themes at the dorm I was in. That said, this ponification is incredibly thorough, and I'm impressed. The person or team that put this together did a really good job. I can also tell you that after the first week half of those ponies will be stolen and put up in someone's personal dorm room. In this case, that doesn't upset me too much :D

ReplyDeleteNow that you've pointed out that they will likely be stolen by those who will put them up in their rooms, I'm perfectly okay with it. Even as a fan of the show, if I had to spend more than the first week with my hallway looking like that, I don't think I'd be comfortable.
But I agree with the majority; that is one heck of an awesome hallway. I know I couldn't have done as good of a job myself.
