ReplyDeleteDoesn't Spike's fire normally take a little while after leaving his mouth to coalesce into a scroll? It looks like a fully-formed scroll is coming out of his mouth right along with the fire. Unless that scroll is about to be incinerated, but his posture and the scroll's position don't really imply that...

ReplyDeleteIt looks like he may have tripped and accidentally belched fire. That would explain the look of the scroll as well as the position he's in.

ReplyDeleteThe scroll actually appears before the flames subside. It's very quick in the actual animation - only in the last few frames does the scroll appear - so you don't notice it while watching.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I was thinking that EqD would get to 40 million page hits by Friday. Looks like they got 1 million in just the last few hours and will hit 40 by this evening. It appears that everypony is so psyched up for Saturday that they can't contain their excitement and are constantly clicking on EqD to see if anything new pops up.
