ReplyDeleteI remember that movie from my childhood. It was so confusing and terrifying, second only to The Brave Little Toaster for inspiring nightmares and long held mental trauma.

ReplyDeleteThe brave little toaster was seriously the most mentally scarring thing ever created by man. Ponies are nice safe ground.
As soon as I saw the movie title, I was all "Fluttershy! NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"

ReplyDeleteI watched both of those, the hell are you talking about? I really remember all of Watership Down, but I loved the brave little toaster as a little kid. Along with the land before time.
I'm in my "I should have gone to bed several hours ago." phase of mean-ness... And my first thought was to show Fluttershy this pic.

Watership Down is a movie with anatomically correct cartoon animals who get eaten and buried alive and killed in all sorts of bloody ways.

ReplyDeleteAs for Rainbow, since when has she had the ability to perform meditation practices? She's kind of hyper but she's not nearly as bad as Pinkie but I didn't think she had the patience to do super quiet meditation.
'The Quiet Game' champion of Ponyville should not have asked Rainbow to cheer her on.

ReplyDeleteWatership Down is a masterpiece of a movie, if you haven't seen it, you should take the time to look it up, it does Exist, and it is wonderful(and if you read the book or haven't already figured it out, bloody)

I still remember this one dream about entering a world of rabbits after seeing the first episode.
That show made me want a rabbit for a pet.
Too bad rabbits have such short lifespans...
I miss Wicket...
And this, Fluttershy, is why you read the little reasons for the film's rating on the back of the cover... because there you would've read "For frightening sequences of violence including bloody images."

tehers a "dogs" cartoon/movie thats actualy MORE grusome than watership down from around the same time(theres atleast 2 others that are just as dark)...i forget the name...as soon as i saw watship down in the second panel i knew what had to come

Watership Down was one of my childhood movies. I vaguly remember it, and I still have the VHS of it in my room, intact and everything! I lack the VHS player though. I need to watch it agian really soon.

ReplyDeleteI really hope Watership Down gets some more attention thanks to my comic strip. It's an awesome movie that deserves love, because of how hardcore and bullshit-free it is. Great stuff.
I love Watership Down, one of my favourite childhood films, along with Land Before Time, All Dogs Go to Heaven, An American Tail, Labyrinth and Dark Crystal.

It would appear that Dash has found Enlightenment. Sadly, it seems it doesn't help her a bit when it comes to being quiet.
