There is also a coupon code buried on the facebook page for 20% off, just CTRL+F for "Coupon". It can be used in store, and online. The total with the coupon+tax/shipping was 27 bucks for me. I think the in store ones are 20, though they list them as 30 on the site so I am not 100% sure.

ReplyDeleteI actually bought mine in-store in Illinois yesterday. As I walked up to the aisle, there was another Brony looking at the pony toys, but he saw me coming and left before I arrived there. :c I thought I could have made another Brony friend.
ReplyDeleteOh, and if you bring it up to the checkout counter and it costs $25 there, fight it (kindly). I dunno if my store was alone in this, but they had the wrong price in the computer.
Only downside is the Dash recolor they're using for Fluttershy, otherwise I'd buy it in a second.

ReplyDeleteI remember hearing something waaayyy back when the blind bags were first introduced that Fluttershy was supposed to have her own unique mold, but they had problems with her hair (it wasn't molding properly or was breaking or something), so they took the cheap route and did a RBD recolor as opposed to redesigning the mold.
Again I have NO IDEA where I heard this, so it might be completely wrong but it sounds plausible :P
Man, I've been back and forth between two different TRU's twice this week trying to find this package, and nothing. I've been using my card online too much these days, so I'll have try and find it in-store and buy it with cash. Damn, Hasbro, roll these out nationwide at the same time, plz/thx.

ReplyDeleteI won't lie. Rarity was my least favorite till Suited for Success. I actually didn't even like her, but then I UNDERSTOOD HER!!! Now, I hold a special place of respect in my heart for her talent and her drive, and yes, I like her now.
Rarity's and AJ's talents and work ethic (and often obsession) mirror themselves in me far more than I should care to admit. That really bumped up my respect for both ponies.
Now, I totally get her!!!

ReplyDeleteI reloaded the page for the Pony Collection set on Toys R Us, and it said "In stock for shipping"! I immediately click add to cart, check out, and succeed. I get an email confirmation, an then an hour later, get an email saying the item is backordered.
For 5-6 hours, I keep checking the page, still saying "In stock for shipping"... And then "No product found"...
They took down the page!!!
I am so disappointed!
Why can't Hasbro realize that if they would just pump these things out in quantity, in America, Canada, Europe, Asia, and in every other major world economy, they WILL SELL! It's not like these things are hard to make.

ReplyDeleteI dunno, I would buy the set and could see that maybe it was having some issues. They could have made it flat and long like Twilight or Applejack...I dunno it still feels a bit lazy to me. I would love to have toys like this because I prefer the figures over the brush the hair models, but this seems a little lazy to me.
Guess I will have to buy a brushable to show my support.
These are toys that can be found in the blind bags, but these are not actually the blind bags. The blind bags are purple with individual ponies inside. I have gone to several Toys-R-Us stores and they claim to not know what I am talking about, even after showing them photos.
