Remember that Top Gear pony video some guy made a while ago? The producers of what is probably the highest-budget car show (if not television show, period) on Earth have taken notice- and they like it. I think.

ReplyDeleteTrust me, if they know the Mane 6 characters names, they love it just as much as we do. :3. And despite the haters in the comments, you have to remember that the fans of this shows are usually in it for Clarkson and Co. antics or the cars, so sudden ponies will confuse the majority of them.

Well, you don't even need to know a ton about cars to like Top Gear. It's still a good show regardless and pretty funny sometimes.

You don't have to know anything about cars to love Top Gear. That is the beauty of the show. Kind of similar to My Little Pony in their way to be enjoyed by all demographics.

ReplyDeleteIt's mostly to do with how they play off each other I think, most show hosts are nice to each other, but Hammond, May and Clarkson treat each other like Siskel and Ebert did. It's funny as hell.

Anyway this is cool, I am almost not surprised that a show as cool as Top Gear would support ponies.
Also TG is honestly a good way to learn about cars. As ridiculous as they act, they always give their honest opinion on things which is better information than all the "objective" official reviews out there. If a feature sucks, they don't hesitate to say it. If something's good, they praise it to no end. And the beautiful cinematography always brings out the best in the car's design.

You beat me here though, I sent some pony fan art, a bit of fic and some roleplay to TG at the start of the most recent season. Nothing came of it, so congrats for getting noticed.
