Over on the MenloMarseilles channel, the first episode of FiM has hit the impressive milestone of two million.
There are also a few relatively famous youtube channels listing it in their favorites, including Mega64. That probably helps out I would think!

I am one of the few people left in the world who does not own a cellphone; does that QR actually provide whoever uses it with some sort of mystical pony power (or at the least link to something awesome)? I liked the Swagberg song. Not as much as Pony Swag of course *lol* but it's good. I notice the tags "Illuminati", "zionist", "conspiracy" and the name of the song is "ZOG". Unfortunately I'm a bit lost on the finer points of that subject myself. Guess that's Hebrew or such in the song? Either way, song is good.

Wha...how does that QR code work! That's so awesome!
ReplyDeleteI think it works because QR codes have a selectable amount of error correction built into them. More error correction means a larger QR block. But, it also means more bits can be corrupted (in this case intentionally, which is what the image is).
ReplyDeleteTwo million views is pretty awesome. Too bad the episodes are so randomly scattered about that it would be impractical to tally up all the views.

Two Best Friends Play is one of my favorite Internet series, and Season 3 is looking to be even better, if the premiere is any indication. I loved the end. Out of all people, I wouldn't have expected Pat to be a brony.

ReplyDeleteLarge QR codes have alot of extra data you can play with as 'redundancy' in case it doesn't get a clear pixle check.
You can screw with this redundancy to put your own images into the middle.
Very cool putting this one together.
