Loved the orchestral version of Fluttershy's Lullaby, my favorite of this batch, although Little Octavia was _much_ better than I thought it would be and gave Fluttershy a good run for the top spot.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it appears that my keyboard has accumulated quite a lot of junk in it during the five plus years I've used it. No ponies, but enough gunk that I may be able to sculpt some sort of pony-esque thing from it all. I think I shall name him 'Linty', and pretend that he is the brother of previous generation pony Minty.

ReplyDeleteI heard the first one the other day. Of course it caught my eye. ;) I agree, it could be sung better. But it's about me! So I have to like it. lol Plus, it's not that bad overall. Just needs to practice his singing more.
Same as the first with the singing, but I thought it was decent. I'm not going to compare these to the originals totally, because that would be unfair. But I'm glad so many are contributing to that project.
Third one is a nice little slow and soft piece.
This whole endeavor is just so much fun. You guys are great.

ReplyDeleteFrom being a super Beatles fan, I was wondering how Elenore Rigby would fit in with ponies, seeing how it is kinda depressing song, but I was really surprised when I heard the voice.
ReplyDeleteThe second one was okay, the voice could have been closer to the tune, and I guess some of the words could've been better, but nothings perfect!
I liked the third one, because you can rarely go wrong with instrumentals.

ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. Seriously. Just, everything, what the hay, I did NOT expect... I don't know what I expected, but this is awesome.
Also, on the first one, it certainly doesn't hurt that Octavia and Eleanor Rigby are two things I dearly heart.
The picture grabbed my attention first. Namely because I was the one who made the Pinkie Pie in the keyboard. That was a nice surprise to see someone did Dash.

Oh man, I've loved "Eleanor Rigby" since I saw Yellow Submarine when I was a kid (not when it first came out, I'm not quite THAT old). That is beyond brilliant.
