A MLP Drinking game is being tested/perfected over on Ponychan, based off of the old 4chan drinking game from a while back. Right now they have a total of 161 cards, though it does tend to pile on the alcohol pretty quick. It's being modified a bit to add some defensive cards, but for now, if you just assume a "drink" is a "sip" then it looks like it would be a lot of fun!

Who say's you have to use alchohol for something like this?
ReplyDeleteI say use prune juice and make the cards try and force you to drink it... no that's still too evil.
How about taking a sip of fruit juice of your choice everytime you have too? (I'd be drinking Cranberry Pomegranate juice all night and it'd actually be good for me. Plus it wouldn't get me drunk and I've never actually drank anything that would intoxicate me.)
That would dramatize the target demographic, though...

ReplyDeleteI've never touched a alchoholic beverage but coca-cola and some soft drinks actually have an alchoholic based effect on me.
It's entirely depending on their caffeine loadouts.
In excample, I can't drink Mountain Dew without getting violently sick.
I am not old enough to drink alcohol, so I will get some Dr. Pepper, put the Gummy cola thing on it, and be up all night.

ReplyDeleteWhat, Ethanol isn't your favorite? Not to be a jerk, but I'm pretty sure no one likes the taste of alcohol, which is why only idiots actually drink straight everclear, why beer only contains 4-9% alcohol, and why cocktails are also referred to as mixed drinks.
Maybe my experiences were different than most others', but this game seems no worse than 90% of the drinking games I've ever partaken in, except that it DOES involve ponies, which I suppose is a fact that should not be discounted. Bottoms up, I say!

@Anonymous, Actually, some people are extraordinarily sensitive to the taste of alcohol. I can taste it in stuff as weak as wine (overpowering the good flavors of wine), but I can drink porter beers fine (due to the stronger taste of the beer). Of course, I also wouldn't play a drinking game because I drink expensive beer, and couldn't choke down Pabst for it.
ReplyDeleteWe usually always drink mixed drinks for this; beer is alright but too filling or distasteful for most people. That being said there are some cards that explicitly call for shots.
