ReplyDeleteI hope they do add touches that make it more "pony" than just sprites and music, though. Of course, I'm sure they probably planned for pony-related tracks and items from the beginning.
I'm curious if this kart game engine was adapted from something else or if they actually coded it for this game--it seems like the progress was far too fast to have been working from scratch.
Anyone else check their skype at 1:30?

ReplyDeleteWell, considering I myself have been able to code a ridiculous amount of stuff in a single day when I am thrilled about what I'm working on.. its probably not as impossible as you would think.
Take someone who is a coding enthusiast and is deranged about ponies and you can get A LOT of code done very fast. :D

I've searched seemingly everywhere back in April or something and I pretty much did the same now and never found anybit of information saying that they would actually do a Linux client / whatever anytime soon; yet Wikipedia has all the answers.
I retract my first statement then.

Whilst it is more and more likely it's going to end up as "Mario Kart with Ponies" that's all I expect for this title. Hopefully we can get some idle animations for the Ponies in the karts, along with Voice Clips as well. Now... what about power-ups? Speed-Boost alone won't do.

Are you on 360 or PS3? If it's 360 I'm game, seeing as how my clan tag is already BRNY and all my guns gave Princess Luna's cutie mark on them.
Just to clarify, this will have online mode.

Also, once the base is done. Will do a port for iOS, XBOX 360 and PS3.
The only thing I could ask for is a diverse range of music. Or at least one track that isn't heavy techno beats. I would main er, mane that course.

ReplyDeleteI'm doing icon work for this thing as well as both spriting shenanigans, textures (if need-be) and even trying to do concepts and stuff between the various devs in this so far.
Trust me when I say that this will indeed be a good game when we're done.
Oh, and I probably shouldn't do this, but since I have a terribad habbit of doing so, i'm gonna leave a single hint for the first track we're working on: It involves AJ in a way.
