The Duke Nukem MLP was pretty darn cool. In fact the whole panel was. he would be an awesome guest.
ReplyDeleteI had a similar idea of that first video, well two actually, as a Dr Who fan as well. The second was a PMV featuring Dr Whooves to the Eiffel 65 song "Back in Time". I'm glad to see an intro to Dr Whoof was made. That's great.

That Doctor Whooves intro was... so dull. Where's the colour? Where's a title that doesn't look identical to the credits? Why is everything so blurry in the opening zoom? I'm sorry, but the latest Pony Bebop has taught me that standards ought to be kept high.

ReplyDeleteI freaking loved AceCombat5. It is one of two games that I have ever played to near 100% completion (I unlocked ALL of the planes, at least. My favorite to use were the A-10 and the plane that had the LAZAR).
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, I'm trying to figure out which pony would fit which character best.
Nagase: Fluttershy (or maybe Rainbow Dash)
Chopper: Rainbow Dash (possibly Applejack)
Grim: Spike (or Fluttershy?)
Kid (the player character): Twilight Sparkle
The Captain guy from the first mission whose name I don't recall (it's been a while): Applejack (or Luna, if you get my drift)
I can't really find a good match for Rarity, but I guess that is to be expected. Not really sure who should play the reporter or the mechanic either, although I guess Spike might be able to be the reporter (but I kinda want him to be Grim).
Wouldn't it be interesting to have a failure knight Fluttershy?

ReplyDeleteYes, I played AC4 and AC0 as well. Couldn't get past the last boss in zero though...too freaking hard to arrange to hit the guy head-on enough times :/. Also, I remember that the superplane from AC4 was the X-02 (a concept plane given the name Wyvern in later releases).
Not sure what The 2nd anon after my post's problem is, though...

ReplyDeleteThe Plane with the laser in AC5 was the FALKEN, later identified as the ADF-01F FALKEN (ADF-01A was the version with the rather superfluous option of equipping the plane with XLAA or FAEB in AC0)
Furthermore, the Captain from the beginning of the game was Captain Jack Bartlett.
Fun Fact, Steven Blum, the VA for Bartlett, also voiced Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop. Captain Marcus Snow, who joins your squadron late game, is voiced by Beau Billingslea, who voiced Jet Black in Cowboy Bebop. Finally, in Mission 25, "Heartbreak One," you meet Major Natasya Vasilievna Obertas, Voiced by Wendee Lee, AKA Faye Valentine.
In other words.... Ace Combat 5 features every major character from Cowboy Bebop except Radical Edward.
Ergo, Blaze (The player Character) must sound like Either Radical Ed... or Ein.
