Useless fact of the day: it took 20 days to go from the first million to the second (March 17th to April 6th), but since million 6 (Mai 17th) it averaged at about 5 days per million.

@Anonymous The comics don't really have anything to do with the hit number; not since SpeccySY has been doing them, I think, and possibly before that. It's just a regular comic, with the number of megahits mentioned somewhere in the background. (Here, it's 'Lessen 16' on the blackboard.)

ReplyDeleteUm. A physics brony here (no, not that one), and I probably ought to point out that Derpy is not far from being correct here. Her idea is a little derped up, but she's not talking total nonsense.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so you can't go back to the dinosaurs this way, obviously. But if two aeroplanes with EXACTLY matched clocks fly around the earth in opposite directions, when you put the clocks next to each other again THE TIMES ARE DIFFERENT! This is due to an application of special relativity, and technically means that one clock is now "back in time" compared to its partner (and indeed any clock that's stayed still on the ground).
The real derp here is that this "slowing of time" occurs when you fly in the direction of rotation, not against it.

ReplyDeleteIf the muffin went faster than the speed of light, it would be possible, but knowing how derpy is, she might actually make it do that! (even though forbidden by relativity.)
