ReplyDeleteHeh, #31, Twilight going incandescent with power, coloured using Zefrank's Scribbler tool. It's a cool tool with advantages and limitations. Perfect for illustrating chaos.
And #32, Ms. Cake says BAKE and she means it. Being vectorless and clueless, I did it in MSPaint. Then in my rush I uploaded it as a jpeg when I had intended to save as a png instead. I drew it in a style that matched the Twilight READ poster in the Obama HOPE meme.

This whole scene gives me a slight Lord of the Rings impression. Canterlot is Minas Tirith (well come to think about it, Lauren actually admited the LOTRO influence on Canterlot)and Nightmare Moon's tower is Minas Morgul.
Also, can't miss the colors, Celestia being white, coming from the WHITE CITY and NightmareMoon representing the forces of evil, with all humanoids.
Yes I know I think too much. That's what happens when you have too much spare time.

Btw I have read Cupcakes. I'm working on a Brony compilation right now (8Gb+, 30,000+ files and so on, includes everything except for music and vids) and I have placed Cupcakes in a seperate folder, 3 subfolders deep with warning signs. Yes it is bad.
Though it depends how visual you are. The more fortunate won't be affected that much. Those of us who are very visual when reading have really bad memories.

ReplyDeleteI think this is actually my 10th or 11th Guybrush Threepony. Most of the rest were buried in the middle of the training grounds submissions, whereas the first and last actually made it out onto the front page.

Also I have to say that this one wasn't quite finished, but I was falling asleep at one in the morning on the last night of artist training grounds. At some point I plan on going back and doing more on the background.
And if I had realized that all I had to do to get in these was to throw Seth a Trixie, I would have done it sooner.
Somepony should do fanfic that all the human got exile. Then after a 1000 year they start to return. But anyway awesome work on all the pieces!
