It's not really 100% Pony, more of an "internet meme platformer" I guess? Anyway there are ponies in various levels, so that's pretty cool at least! So far I've only found Rainbow Dash, but I don't really have time to play through it right now.

ReplyDeleteDirectly after the Bieber level (where one can also find a Twilight Sparkle poster above a Twilight stupid vampire movie) they show a picture of Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Applejack standing next to each other.

I loved the first two games in this series! I've yet to beat this one, but it's looking good so far. To anypony who hasn't played it yet: the ending of the Bieber/Edward level is worth it! Trust me.

ReplyDeleteI got to the end of the stage where your reward is the mane cast (minus Fluttershy and Rarity), so I'm happy.
ReplyDeleteBut I stopped on the level with Obama and all the teabags. It's pretty amazing that the developers were able to find the time to put all this stuff together. But (constructive criticism) 1) I did find myself struggling with the controls quite a bit, and 2) Some of the more political humor was a bit "on the nose" for my tastes. Like the BP Level where the monocled dude uses a pelican to soak up oil, and then throws the pelican into a burning barrel to start up a huge fire.
That just felt like somebody shouting "HEY, REMEMBER THIS GUYS?" at the top of their lungs. *sigh* Yes, thank-you Mr. Shouty-pants, I think I get it, BP = bad.
But then again, I think I was stuck on that level for like 10-15 minutes, so, I might be biased. :p
Trixie tells me we have some neigh-sayers. We all know Robot Unicorn Attack is really just my sister trying to troll. She wrapped herself up in tinfoil then ran around screaming 'STARS! STARS EVERYWHERE!'

They show Rainbow and twilight in some of the earlier levels, but at the end of the justin beiber level, it literally says "Screw the Ending, Here are Some Ponoes"

THE BEST GAME EVER. I have an orgasm just like when I played PORTAL2. Also in this game there are so maby portal references! I love meat Gaga levels and Portal. And BP just cracked me. Poor pelicans and oil as a orange gel from Portal.

When I learned that the latest installment of :The Game: was out, I needed no extra coaxing to play it immediately.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment. The humor was still spot-on, but the creator is clearly out of his element when it comes to making gravity-flipping platformers. He really should have stayed with the formula and Kept It Simple Stupid.
Not sure if it was mentioned, but you can see Twilight for a moment in the ending. (Yes, the pony. Usually, it'd be pretty obvious, but given the game's nature....)

ReplyDeleteOkay spot Rainbow Dash at the Double Rainbows MV, but gave up after much figuring out @ the Gaga stage and felt more derp at the Portal 2 stage. God it's making me dizzy and not helping that I have a MMORPG client running!
But thank you users at YouTube for hosting that Double Rainbow MV (it was fun to watch with rainbow-themed memes) and... That Bieber + Edward stage. Found that Twilight Sparkle pun there. :S

ReplyDeleteSo after completing all the challenges in the game, the character creator allows you to have the Mane and Tail of Applejack, Twiligh, Pinkie, and Rainbow Dash and even add a Unicorn Horn but you can't recreate the full character model (head shape and cutie marks).

ReplyDeleteThis was really enjoyable, I'm glad to see more gameplay (and really unique ones for that matter) involved in this series. I loved the all the satires in this, although I do tend to get annoyed by memes. But hey, he added ponies so it's fine by me.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that annoyed me is the Bieber jokes, I've seen so many of unfunny, unoriginal, excessive ones to the point where I rage at any type of Bieber joke, I always get really annoyed at YouTube comments (which I lol'd when he parodied them) that always go "OLOLOLOL dislike bar is Bieber's penis hahaha I'm so funny" BS. Fucking. STOP. Yeesh
To people using character creator: you can use Woody's hat for Applejack. Not really the same but meh.
