I ask honestly because I am working on sewing some custom Pony Hoodies (I'm making Wonderbolt hoodies from my friends and I) and I was thinking about offering one to Ms. Faust and then doing more as commissions for anypony that wants one. but I don't want to get sued - anyone know?

ReplyDeleteQuotes aren't illegal, I think. Also, the cutie marks in my store (bronyapparel) I drew, scanned, and had my friend help photoshop them, same as the ponies, so I know mine isn't. I haven't seen the other stores yet, though.
I'd so rock a "Haters gonna hate" pinkie pie shirt if I could justify $20 for a t-shirt when I already have hundreds. It's not like anyone would know what it was and even if they did I'm sure most people would laugh at it.

ReplyDeleteI really like how the guy who runs elementsofbornyhood is doing his business. One, his designs are in somewhat of a legal grey area. The way he modifies some of his designs could fall under artistic license. Second, I don't think he is making much if any money off the shirts, in that on the site and on his Deviant Art page he says he gives the proceeds to charity. That said elementsofbronyhood will be the first to get my money as soon as I get money.

I would like a few keychains . . . . but im not sure if i could dig the heart shape (im a guy :P ) too much. lol Im going to order more . . . specially a pie family shirt LOL . . . a rainbow dash shirt aswell. Proudly going to be worn in public, just like i watch the episodes in public . . . . and have all of this epicness on my phone and other digital devices . . . . right now im browsing this page with a bunch of desktop ponies runnin around and Im watching the "dog and pony show." I think its the best episode to show how sufficient Rarity truly is. She was my least fav . . . but now holds her own special spot with me. We need more rarity, and rainbow dash merch STAT!! Some of this looks awesome, and great quality, but I'm worried for the creators. I seriously doubt this is legal, and think they'll be shut down, especially with Hasbro being most concerned with selling their own products.
