ReplyDeleteWell this is more trial and error, so hopefully I can do the book and movie justice. Although I will try to make it have a few twists and turns I would have some key scenes.

It is a wonderful combination, and I'm loving the new dynamics of the 'Other Sister', and how it relates to Ponyville and Equestria, the whole potential of an entity that uses friendship and love as a tool for it's own dire desires, instead of for the good that it is intended for... so deep if you go that far.

ReplyDelete@Dave Mustang, the cynical Brony That was my first thought, too. Looking at the actual fanfic, though, it seems to start on the movie's opening scene, which I'm pretty sure wasn't actually in the book, so I guess it's based more on the film than the original.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if that makes it better, though. Something about basing a work of prose on the movie version of a book instead of the book itself seems... wrong, somehow.

ReplyDeleteI was hoping that the story was going to be based off the book rather than the movie, given that it is always best to get as close to the original source as possible, but it doesn't seem to be a problem.

I think it would have been better, if he had ''lost'' at Bellam... something in the way of ''lending his help one last time, at the right moment'', instead for nothing at Granny.

I know that you think it's meh, but I, at the very least, really like it, and I want to find out if your fic will end on a much happier note, like the three trapped ponies get to escape as well, IRL, and then the CMC have three new friends! 8D Or something.
