We've had statues, dimensions, and moon inhabitants from thousands of years ago return plenty over the years in Equestria. It's almost a trope at this point that ancient beings make grand returns pretty regularly. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this happens once again for G5.
We don't know what happened to the mane 6, but it's always a possibility that they were sealed up in some weird way. What if they came back? Is this osmething you'd want to see? Or should we go forward full steam ahead only giving them shoutouts via ominous messages?
