We never got an entirely accurate timeframe for how old Luna was when she was locked up, but after 1000 years she finally arrived again to grace us for 9 seasons of pony. Unfortunately we also have no idea how many years actually happened between season 1 and 9! It's a mystery. For all we know, Luna could have actually been "working" for only a few years if we combine the time before and after banishment.
Regardless, she's retired now along with her sister as Twilight takes over the leadership duties. What do you think the moon gets up to now that she's not doing mandatory dreamwalks all night? Does she persue her interest in the Equestrian postal service? Or maybe she aims for other persuits?
