As announced a while ago, Hasbro plans to do a USA wide tour with a brand new stage performance called My Little Pony Live. Today they released the full list of dates and extra information on what you can all expect if you want to see it.
The story they will be showing off is completely new:
The fantastical, sensation-filled musical tells an exciting new tale. As the ponies prepare for the blossoming of Ponyville’s Rainbow Tree, promising another hundred years of friendship, trouble arises in Equestria. The Mane Six must set out to save the ailing Rainbow Tree with strength, determination, creativity and — of course — the magic of friendship! Come one pony, come all, on this unforgettable journey to Equestria!
22 locations will be visited from March to July of 2020.

Since half the fandom was at BronyCon this weekend and we don't have any other ponies in August anyway, Twilight Sparkle day is shifting from the 6th to the 12th this year. This gives you plenty of time to get to work on making her day awesome.
To do that, submit your creations to submit@equestriadaily.com with what it is, so an example subject would be:
TWILIGHT DAY - OPEN ART
Everyone that doesn't get this simple template correct will be joked about at the next EQD board meeting. And by Twilight Sparkle.
