Whilst initially primarily producing chilled out drum & bass music, RoomVR has somewhat shifted towards orchestral works lately. That's no bad thing, as his compositional abilities are in full evidence throughout this gorgeous piece. Ambient sound effects play the perfect foil to beautiful piano melodies, with some soft strings and other elements joining in every now and then. It really does feel like a gentle stroll through a forest. Check it out below!

In a surprise turn of events as BronyCon wraps up for 2018 they have announced that BronyCon 2019 will be their final event, closing their doors after so many years and joyous occasions. BronyCon was my first convention, let alone pony convention, back in 2012 and it was what got me addicted to the convention scene for several years.
Thanks so much for your years of service BronyCon staff. While it will be sad to see the convention go we look forward to the amazing four days of events you all will certainly plan for 2019.

It looks like we have a new project coming out of TheInvertedShadow starring an animating mare named Paper Cut, and it gets a little crazy. The description explains it:

It's been forever since we've seen anything from JanAnimations so this was a surprise when a friend of mine linked it to me on Discord: A proper sendoff to the "little colt that you all came to love" according to Jan.
Bittersweet, but still, it's nice to get a proper conclusion from Jan and the promise of a new era according to him. Thanks for all the fun, Jan! We look forward to what the future may bring you.

It's been a long while, but we've got a new tune from Foozogz! Full of uplifting sound design and high octane energy it's pretty much exactly what you'd expect from him. There's some cool vocal stuff every now and then, especially during the break, but the focus from this tune is thoroughly on the wonderful synths and their melodic power. Check it out below!

Over time as an artist or any sort of creator it makes sense to create what is familiar, what is comfortable for us. To truly grow though we must be willing to expand beyond what we do know and tackle the unfamiliar. Yesterday's exercise in drawing a pony as another species was certainly an attempt to take you all outside of the comfort zone of colorful horses and try out some new anatomy as well as put your creative spin on how a character would look different if they had been a different species.
Throughout the day I noticed a huge range of different species from snakes to bats to deer to canines and cats and even vehicles to name a few and I'm once again overjoyed to see how you all tackled this prompt head on. Well done everyone!
With that said we managed a nice 139 ponies bringing our total up to 1115 ponies in total, blowing past the 1000 picture mark! Awesome work everyone, especially with so many folks at both GalaCon and BronyCon this weekend.
Now to get down to business. We've done some relatively tame prompts so far, but we know Equestria isn't necessarily a calm and peaceful place all the time. There is adventure, baddies, and danger lurking in the dark corners of the world. So for tonight's prompt I'm giving you guys a chance to potentially explore a darker side of Equestria by Drawing a pony in danger / Drawing a pony living life on the edge.

Dashie looks pretty cool as a dragon! Think she would be able to fly just as well even though she has that extra bulk? Even if it slows her down and she isn't the fastest among ponies I bet she would be the fastest among dragons at least!
