Luna seems to have adjusted pretty well coming back to Equestria after 1000 years, hasn't she? I like to imagine though this would be the expression she'd have upon seeing how much the world had changed for the first time.

Hello everyone! The Illustrious Q here, and snowed in at the moment, to bring you another merch review! Just what am I reviewing today? It's the Blu-Ray/DVD release of My Little Pony: The Movie! (On sale January 9th, 2018). Just look at those covers! They are so shiny and sparkly! And one is the wide release and the other is the Target Exclusive!
As you can probably guess, these have been provided by Lionsgate for review purposes. Realistically, how else were we supposed to get these before the street date?

I feel like one artist kinda dominated the last year. They may or may not be quite common in this post!
Moony is definitely one of the most drawn ponies. Something about that design just brings out the ARTIST in people. Since Luna Day last year, she has gotten a ton of new and awesome drawings.

If you want a soundtrack for Luna Day, this new album from One Track Mind might be pretty well suited to it! His first long-form release, this album is about the banishment of Princess Luna to the moon, and the psychological effects that had on both herself and Princess Celestia. It's full of interesting mixtures of heavier chiptune-style wubs, orchestral elements, and some more chilled out tracks too. You can check it out on bandcamp here, or find a full playlist of all the track on youtube below, plus a standalone embed of what's probably my personal favourite!

I don't think I need to tell you all that Luna has had a TON of fanfiction love over the years. She was one of those ponies we had a long gap of content of in the show, and even after her main appearance in season 2, we took that canon and flew it all over the place. People love themselves some moon!

As the show ages and the more that is uncovered the more answers and ever more myriad of questions we receive. With season 8 and more coming in the future, what sort of things would you like to see Luna involved in? What parts of her personality would you like explored? What sort of episode themes would you like? Do you think maybe the fandom focuses too much on Luna?

That's right, it is time for Luna Day! Unfortunately we had to delay it a bit due to some internet connectivity problems on my part. Things seem to have mostly resolved themselves so we're going to give it a shot today!
