Another in the line of bank figures has been release at Target, dedicated this time to Sia's Songbird Serenade from the movie. Like the last ones, you can unscrew a bottom piece to get your money out.

High quality figurine maker Pop Culture Shock Collectables has aquired the licence from Hasbro to produce Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Transformers, G.I. Joe, and My Little Pony figures. They haven't announced any specifics on which of these brands they will be focusing on, but they have a pretty wide array of creations if you check out their Facebook page. With Funko seemingly done with the general pony lineup, we could use another high end figure maker to step in.

It looks like the potential buyout announced last week has crumbled. Mattel eventually responded with a rejection, citing worries of anti-trust laws and complaints that their offer undervalued the company.
For now at least, a new goliath company will not arise from the collaboration of two already gigantic brands. There are always possibilities of further negotiation though. These companies are massive, so a deal like this probably wasn't going to happen in any kind of quick time frame.

A whole bunch of acoustic musicians have been taking it upon themselves to cover Tempest's villain song, and this orchestral-influenced metal version from Rockin'Brony is one of the most enjoyable I've heard so far! His vocals fit the track well, the mixing throughout it pretty clean and the orchestral elements add some great flavour. Check it out below the break!

A store called Sørlandsparken Leker over in Norway has started stocking the... things up above. I'm not sure if they are trying to shift pony into some other race, or if that's really supposed to be our beloved cartoon equines. Surely a sewing machine over in China malfunctioned and the workers couldn't be bothered to fix it right?
