Starlight Glimmer Day is Over!

I think we may have overwhelmed poor Starlight. She's not used to getting so much attention. You all definitely made her first pony day awesome this year. Hopefully we can do just as much when it rolls around again next March! If you want to catch up today, you can get it all here.

Next up, we return to the mane 6 with Fluttershy after a bit of a break. Her day will fall on the 21st of April. Expect a call for submissions around two weeks before the event!

Glimmy Day days mean pony themed Drawfriend posts! She's still a relatively new character compared to some of the previous pony day ponies, so we won't have three this time around.

Music: Liquid Harmony - Despair [Orchestral]

Liquid Harmony jumps around a whole heap of genres, but one they've definitely done a pretty good job of nailing here is orchestral. This piece is based around a fanmade series from AshleyH called Remembrance, and is more specifically about Cadance's feelings of loss. With some lovely piano melodies and soft, sombre strings making up the main part of the track, there is definitely a strong push to that emotional feel with the mood of the piece. Make sure to check it out below for some soft and mellow orchestral!

More MLP Movie Fabrics, This Time with Sea Ponies!

The pony merchandise tsunami is going to be absolutely crazy this year, and already we are seeing pre-orders pop up in the fabric department. An Etsy store that carries all sorts of official patterns has listed three new options up from the MLP movie, including the sea pony one up above.  While we don't have absolute 100% confirmation that it's legit, we already have seen them in similar form thanks to Toy Fair.

Music: Metapony - Moonight [Progressive House]

Metapony makes a return to the spotlight with a new track in his signature progressive house style. Lovely little plucks build up and evolve to get wider and wider before receding again back into the background. The percussion is steady and pretty cute, whilst the progression is really nice to sit back and appreciate. There's a bit of a speed change in the second half as it gets a little more energetic, which helps to vary up the sound of the piece a little. Give it a listen below the break for some progressive good-ness!

Starlight Day Discussion - Character, Episode Ideas, Theories, and More

I feel like Glimglam gets a lot of discussion already here on EQD, but as is tradition, we have a post dedicated to that right here. She is one of the biggest changes to the show since Twilight's wings, and it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. This gives us a lot to play with on the fan side!

Today is Starlight Glimmer Day!

Happy Starlight Glimmer day everyone! As you can see, she has already arrived to celebrate the festivities... with popcorn. As with previous pony days, expect Starlight stuff every other hour once things get going and the folders are sorted, along with a few posts in the morning.
