Bad news coming out of the Twitter of M.A. Larson for fans of his writing. It looks like he was not involved at all in season 6. Moondancer was his final run before heading out for other things.
Fortunately, his followup response seems to hint that he is open for coming back at some point in the future. When asked if he was gone for good, he replied with a "Hey, you never know".
Fingers crossed he does return! Or hooves crossed... If you can do that.

While this probably won't have anything at all to do with the actual storyline of the upcoming comic, Trixie and her mom are seen in the background in the recent preview.The mare up above with the orange coat and blond mane is apparently what canon has chosen, at least in comic form.
So, good masses that name ALL the ponies, what should we name her? Who is Trixie's mom, and what kind of tragic past is she going to be assigned until the show gives us some backstory?

Way back during the early Words of Faust events, Lauren made a note that she wanted the hooved creatures of Equestria to be the intelligent, civil ones. Outside of a few outliers in dragons and griffons, the formula has largely stayed true to it's roots. Most of the characters that interact with ponies on a day to day basis are, in fact, hooved.
This opens up the possibility of many new races being revealed in the future, from giraffes to Hippopotamuses. With it's fantasy roots, even a few of the Dungeons and Dragons or Greek mythological creatures could make an appearance.
We have a new season coming up, which means more things to wish for! What races should MLP introduce in the future?

With all the hype for the Game of Thrones pony trailer, we completely missed something else in Animation Magazine's reveal of it. I blame the automatic reaction to skim that has been ingrained in our brains over the years. That trailer instantly snagged the eyes!

Zap2it sure has been good to us lately, what with its super early Hasbro correcting season 6 release date. We have another bit of news coming out of their listings, this time pointed toward Robot Chicken and it's 13th episode. In the description, we have the following:
The Property Brothers try to help Lex Luthor; My Little Pony phase; the U.S. Army finds a position for Inspector Gadget; Goldilocks and the three bears.
How significant that will be is a mystery. I'm sure an army of you will plaster it all over the internet though when it airs.

Welcome back to Pony History my friends! Sorry for the lack of updates as of late, I've been really busy with teaching jobs and since this is such a late night feature I had been falling asleep a bit earlier than usual. At any rate, tonight is sort of a history-lite as I spotlight the video that got me into pony years ago.
After the break I'll tell my story and link the vid in the question! Feel free to tell your own stories and give us some suggestions as our barrel is a bit empty at the moment.
