I'm pretty sure no one was expecting My Little Pony to go full on Dia de los Muertos with their comic covers. I'm also pretty sure that these are some of the best comic covers that Sara Richard has ever produced!
Just look at them! They're gorgeous!
Anyways, recently I had a chance to sit down with Sara Richard to talk how these covers came to life, her three page short story in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic #25, and her involvement in something truly, truly outrageous.

There has been a lot of discussion over the episode last weekend, more so than in any premiere that I can remember. So much discussion in fact that it even has started to leak into somewhat mainstream media as an article on the right-leaning site The Federalist has popped up!
It's a well put together article at the least though it does tackle some controversial topics, but as M.A. Larson himself said about fan speculation:

Our fandom has really grown over the years to the point that even animations are a common thing! Regardless of the scope of said animations, they are still impressive feats that require a lot of time, effort, and dedication.

If you are like me, you have probably watched/listened to this song 100 times already. You may or may not also find yourself falling for Starlight Glimmer. Why am I weak to villain ponies? What part of my brain causes me to like them? Am I secretly a master criminal just begging to escape and wreak havoc?
Anyway... We have more remixes of the song from two more musicians! I totally should have seen this coming! Looks like our curly haired balloon pony has gotten the ultimate tribute by being made entirely out of balloons himself. Excellent job to the artist as I have no idea how to even make basic balloon art.
