Business Insider: How Hasbro Decides Which Toys it Will Turn Into Movies

Hasbro is a big company, and big companies tend to work in mysterious ways.  With Rainbow Rocks theater release dates and locations dropping almost every day, it's interesting to look into what exactly prompts a brand to go from Saturday morning cartoon or board game to big screens around the world.

Business insider has done an article all about that, covering everything from Transformers and pony, to their journey into turning Battlefield into a movie.  While it doesn't really get too in depth into our world of cartoon horses, or why we ended up with cartoon humans for our go at the theater instead, it does paint a  good overall picture.

Tony Fleecs Drops Full Version of #21 Main Series Comic Exclusive

While the images in the comic post this morning were pretty blurry, we have an alternative for those that just like collecting the art.  Jetpack Comics won't be releasing the 21st installment of the Main series comic covers until BronyCon, but Tony Fleecs has tossed the full image up over on his Deviant Art page. 

I for one welcome our new space pony overlords.

Wild Rainbow Design a Pony Scootaloo Appears on Target Website

Scootaloo has joined Fluttershy, Luna, and Rainbow Dash in the Design a Pony world with a new one as part of the Wild Rainbow line of toys.  These tend to be known for zebra stripes.  Why zebra stripes? I haven't a clue! It's a thing though.  Maybe a season 5 thing.  We won't know until the end of the year.

Equestria Daily Interview Series: Ten Minutes With Michael Dobson - AKA Bulk Biceps

Continuing with our coverage of all things diminutive and marshmallow-hooved, I got a chance at EverFree Northwest to sit down with another veteran of the voice acting industry. Michael Dobson's career spans over three decades, and has included roles such as the Caped Crusader, Nappa from Dragonball Z, Starscream from Transformers, and—most relevant to our fandom—the incomparable Bulk Biceps. 

I was able to snag ten minutes to ask him some questions about voice acting, horses, and voice acting while riding on horses, and despite the fact that I showed up to the interview wearing an American flag-patterned morphsuit and matching cape, he still stuck around to answer some of them. He's a cool guy.

Ponies Around the World - Deadline Closing Soon

Ponies really are taking over the world this year!

We have around 500 submissions and growing for Ponies Around the World. Since a lot of people have sent emails about missing the deadline, we are extending it for a few days. Consider this a buffer time! Get it in before 11:00 PM (Pacific time) on the 17th, as the box closes on the 18th.

Hopefully you all had fun on your vacations and traveling around your nearby area! Posts should start going up in a few days.

WatchMojo Places Bronies in Top 10 Fandoms

It's not the first time ponies have made it into a WatchMojo list video, but it's probably one of the most positive mentions to pop up on the channel (not to say previous mentions were negative!). What list did ponies pop into this time? A Top 10 Fandoms in TV and Movies list where Bronies take the number 9 position. Not too bad for a relatively young fandom!
