Main seven night tonight for the Roundup! Everypony is best pony (or dragon)! Anyhow, it has been a calm start to the weekend even though most of the gang is off to Nightmare Nights. Thankfully I have my experiments to keep me company though I really think I should get the voices I've been hearing checked out by a doctor... Nah.

Today is November 9, 2013. In one day, The Crystal Empire, Part 1 -- and Season Three -- will have aired exactly one year prior to that. Remember how long we waited for this to come out, wondering if we'd ever see the other side of mountains literal and figurative? Ha. We were so naive.
If you were to take a hypothetical timeline of Equestrian history, it'd probably be flat up to Year 0, flat for 999 years before the events of Friendship is Magic, and OMGAWFULWAFFLE in between. Just how many menaces to existence did these two princesses put on layaway back then? Poor Twilight's nothing but an ontological janitor.
Anyway, Equestria expands her empire... with an empire (yo dawg), Twilight does the singy-thingy-under-stress, and we get our very first look at tiny ewes. Oh yeah, I guess there's the whole "lost civilization returning to existence thing, too".

Our ponies have come up against all sorts of foes over the past three seasons and despite the odds at times they have always made it through! I wonder what sort of enemies await in the next season that will threaten Equestria and all our ponies hold dear?

For the past year, we have had our official pony canon world fed primarily by the comics. Without them and G.M. Berrows books, it would have been a much longer haitus than it was. Digibrony goes into detail on each of them, after a bit of an overall plug. I'm with him here, you should seriously go read these if you haven't already. Taken in a pile, they really are awesome.

Someone named Ice Kat sent this video over to us to upload. It's cam quality, but it's the only one I've seen so far. You get the idea from it. Aside from the details on the marathon leading up to season 4, we have a scene or two of new stuff from the episodes. It's not as groundbreaking as the last one, but I know some of you are as desperate as I am for more pony. Get it below the break!
