Graphical Analysis of Nightly Roundup Headers

We have something completely ridiculous for you all tonight right before the roundup goes up.  Someone going by the name of EquinNomix has gone through 652 Nightly Roundup headers here on EQD and added up the all the ponies that graced their cover images.  While one pony did tend to dominate for the first 400something, the switching over to Calpain has mixed things up quite a bit!

More 'Equestria Girls' Details Surface, Plus a Trailer

An article in the New York Times today confirms that the upcoming Equestria Girls movie will be given "the red-carpet treatment when it premieres as a full-length animated feature at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June." The movie will be released to two hundred theaters nation wide and trailers for it will start appearing on Wednesday. The film will be released on DVD later, followed by a debut on the Hub in the fall.

“We are responding to the desire by our fans to experience the brand in more ways,” said John A. Frascotti, Hasbro’s chief marketing officer. “They imagined themselves as which pony they would be or which pony they identified with the most.”

Another History of Equestria

This headcanon video is closer to fanfiction than analysis, but I just had to share it with you all. In response to Bronycurious' "Celestia, Luna, and the History of Equestria," video which we posted about a week ago, Ink Rose shares her incredibly in-depth ideas about the history of Equestria. Her story is fun and splendidly told, and I figured some of you would really enjoy it. Part of me wants to send this to Lauren Faust herself and ask her what she thinks! Video below the break.

And then Fluttershy's Lament was humanized.  Those are some pretty impressive facial expressions and lip sync, even if you aren't a fan of ponies as anything other than ponies.

New Mystery Blu-Ray Popping Up Everywhere

A new DVD/Blu-Ray release is slated for some time in August.  Amazon has listings for both.  Each of them shows an air-time of 72 minutes, which matches pretty close to what Equestria Girls is expected to have.  The Blu-Ray listing also shows 2 discs, though this may be a DVD/Blu-Ray combo pack as most tend to include. 

I'm sure the listing will be updated soon.  Chances are it's just Equestria Girls though!
