ReplyDeleteMac is all about that cider. I was having trouble finding macindash pics that were just the two of them together, not kissing or anything, so I just settled on fimfiction. the one I had originally was just weird looking to me, so I just caved and went with lip time for rainbow and mac.
i don't read straight ships outside of clop.

ReplyDeleteThe ship in this story, I think, works well because it's one we don't see too often. It feels fresh and new, and I appreciate that.
Of course they aren't going to get along at first, they're almost polar opposites. But that just makes it more rewarding when they finally learn to get along. Sometimes it just takes someone almost dying.
Then...the big payoff. And I'll be ready for it.

Some people think sabotage is funny. Me, I think that exit wounds, temporary crush cavities, and public disclosure of identities in the name of accountability are fucking hilarious. Wait til you see the punch line.
Ok, could someone PLEASE explain to me why this is getting such a horrendous star rating? Is there a secret group of a couple dozen trolls giving one-star ratings to stories? Is shipping suddenly out of season? Is the picture at top that boring?

Every Pony city, town, village, barely-inhabited wasteland has Pegasus ponies doing weather-duty. I doubt that Dash, as the Weather Captain of what's a relatively small area of land, probably does most days completely by herself with exceptions for stuff that takes more ponies like storms and changing of seasons. The lore's easily fudgeable so that RD doesn't get paid much at all.
Eh. If I'm gonna read straight shipping (AKA Romance) it had better come insanely highly recommended.

Buck the haters, I like this story. It's witty, and lighthearted (for the most part), and the personalities play nicely off of each other. Seriously, I can't think of a more yin and yang pairing.

I may have been starbombed by some folk who don't like the pairing, but I would hope my fellow bronies would judge the fic on its story and character interactions rather than whether or not they like the idea of Rainbow Dash NOT being a lesbian for once. (though I have no problem with her being one. She is in my other fic, as a matter of fact.)

ReplyDeleteIt usually takes him a day or two to get around to it, but he generally doesn't do much editing anymore. Now he just suggests expanding on ideas, or re-writing clunky transitions or sentences.

ReplyDeleteFinally got to this. It was an enjoyable enough read from start to finish. Perhaps a bit too upfront about things, and I really don't think Flim and Flam would be the way you've portrayed them; but it ultimately didn't hurt the story too much.
