Hmmmm... My brain may be playing tricks on me. Some images in the Drawfriend seem very familiar, but the source of them suggests they're new. Ah well... Let's get to it!
ReplyDelete1) This is one of the familiar ones, mostly because of the eclectic selection of cast members (and Owlowycious). Still, it's areally great, fun drawing so even if I have seen it before, it's a welcome repeat.
2) I'm not sure about second-hand ice cream. Still, a cute image and some friendly grooming never hurt.
3) This is all kinds of creepy, and yet it's definitely well done.
4) Skyrim keeps going strong in ponydom. You couldn't ask for a more valiant steed.
5) Daring Do is fodder for all sorts of great adventure scenes. Best turn around though.
6) Bah. Twilight can take him, and won't even have to come back as Twilight the White or anything.
7) They do look kind of naked, don't they? Still a funny image, and I quite like the title.
8) Vinyl's place has seen better days. Some really cool coloring in this one.
9) A Pinkycorn? Why not? I just wish she was happier.
10) Aw... Twi just can't help being adorable.
11) I do hope the Mane 6 get into this weekend's episode. Now that we're heading into the home stretch of new episodes, I find I've missed them this season as they've stretched the focus of the show. It's nothing horrible... I just want more of the cast. All of which has little to do with just how charming and well done this Valnetine really is. Really nice linework, and the soft coloring is top notch. Gorgeous work.
12) Nobody better try to take our Derpy away. Great cast image in the artist's own style.
13) Aw... I think Gilda wants to make amends. A cute image of her.
14) Some Daring plot! Not too daring though. It's just fine. All told, i think her stories have pretty basic plots to begin with. Nice clean style here.
15) That damn fridge. Love the Rainbomb explosion in the background.
16) Now we know... the Queen wanted her crown shaped like a muffin. It all makes sense suddenly. Long live the Derpy!
17) Interesting imagery. Very cute young alicorns, and the ghostly ones look like trouble. Well put together.
18) Don't know who they are, but they're ready for a serious plumbing problem. Nice designs!
19) That's a spooky pony. Makes me think the moon is going to fall. Nicely done.
20) So... Dash is a Clone Trooper, and Pinkie is a Cowpony? Well, however it works, I really like the style here.
21) Now we know why she has that black hoodie to begin with. Nicely done colors and shading.
22) I'm almost certain I've seen this before... I mean, I know I've commented on the tiny glasses on Celestia. Was it here? Is the Deviant Account this came from new? What's going on? Either way, really like it still.
23) Aw... someone made Fluttershy cry! And she's such a lovely, soft looking Fluttershy too! There will be a reckoning.
24) Seth could probably be rolling in Trixie images with a simple request. I suppose he doesn't want to abuse his power. Would have been fun to see this done.
Short, and kinda deva vu inspiring, but still pretty great! Thanks to all of the artists for sharing, and to Seth and the gang for putting it together for us!

Paradise is one of the most amazing Celestia & Luna origin stories I've ever read... Heck, it's my number 1 origin fanfic. Second place is Celestia's Notebook, which is pretty cool too, but needs to update.
Paradise is not dead, it was just updated, go read it. SlyWit has NOT given up on it.
I am also sad... I have praised Paradise for as long as it's existed... I'm so sad to see nopony recognizing it's art... Or IT.
Also, so many cute and adorable ponies! I love them! yay!
Paradise art stole this drawfriend for me. All the art caught my eye, but when Paradise is in the mix, nothing else matters.

#1: The finished version of a work-in-progress that appeared here a while back, the added details do help with the atmosphere. Terrific drawing, full of personality.

#5: Another creative Daring Do adventure; while the colors are brighter than I would have expected, the skulls on the wall and the claw in the background do more than enough to add a sense of forboding...
#6: Now there's a fearsome foe worthy of Twilight's full power. Great job adapting this scene for ponies.
#8: I could do without the "420", but otherwise I like the colors and background of this Vinyl Scratch pic.
#10: Really cute filly Twilight, with a bright color palette to heighten the mood.
#13: I can very easily picture Gilda in a scene like this; nice job.
