The Web Audio streamer is flash based, so you need flash to be able to view it. If you want to listen through any other program, check our stream info page. It lists all the different ways of listening:

ReplyDeleteI hope they put up a list of all the songs on the countdown at some point (maybe even with links). I missed some and I don't have time to listen to the rest. But, I've already heard some great ones I'd somehow never heard before. Would love to be able to look up the rest.

Beyond Her Tomb was good, but I'd say top 15 good. There are better originals deserving of the #1 spot, 20 Percent Cooler specifically comes to mind. Well that's just my opinion at least, it was a great list, every song was well done and it was a blast to listen through.

ReplyDeleteBecause there was some confusion, EXPLODINGPONYTOAST is not the same person as PONYTOAST, who did the top 50 countdown on Celestiaradio last week.

Yes, that was a rather unfortunate coincidence. We only found out that PonyToast was hosting Celestia Radio's top 50 the day our top 100 had entered production which was inconvenient. Sorry for any confusion!

But I really liked this; heard a lot of my favorites, and found some new songs too. Don't completely agree with Beyond Her Tomb being #1 but whatever.
Also, I completely called Stormwolf being #14.
I want to thank every single brony that made this event possible. Even though some of our favorite songs may not have made the list I am still very glad that we were able to come together and rejoice in the awesomeness of this community.

How is PonySwag not a part of this? Is it too good? Seriously everypony, that sheeze was epic. I assumed it was a hoof in for number one.
ReplyDeleteHungover: "all of those that don't like ponies, I'ma, I'ma kill you in your sleep" isn't a message either myself, ExplodingPonyToast, or Everfree Radio wanted to endorse.
ReplyDeleteI think ponyswag would not really be fair for this kind of thing. It is a combination of raps and not really a single piece of music. That is like saying The Continuing Tale Of Pinkie Pie & Ponycide should have been on there. It is both a bit out of the norm in what you call a song and it is WAY to long for a countdown.
ReplyDeleteThose are just my personal reasons and guesses and might be totally wrong as I have nothing to do with the people who made the countdown. But I LOVED it and I wish I had not missed the first 60 of it(school.. what can I do?), also.. called that number one yesterday.. so obvious first place.(Why Summer(Lyra and bonbon) instead of Autumn(Derpy hooves) up there I got no clue though.. oh well)
@Unknown, I believe most people proposing Pony Swag are talking about the one by Swagberg (ft. Maros), not the Mega Mix by iBringDaLulz (ft. Everypony). Due to the nature of the Mega mix, we were originally going to just cut out "offending" verses, and air that, but we eventually decided that it was far too long to be counted. The same went for Something Broke: We had that in the shortlist, but decided we already had 7 hours of content, we didn't need 20 minute songs backing that up.
ReplyDeleteSummer is up so high because it's what got do many people into bronydom. I personally like Autumn, Summer, and Winter all equally, but a lot of people seem to prefer Summer.

ReplyDeleteAlright I understand that with Summer being more liked, but was Autumn on the top 100 list at all? I did not hear it under the top 40 I followed and that got me curious. You had no problem using multiple pieces from recurring authors in the list so I really just wonder why it was not in there at all under the top 40 or 50 and if it was somewhere from 100 to 50.(I am not sure why my account name was Unknown.. that would be kinda unique account name but not really what I normally use)

I was in on the majority of the stream and I just put together a youtube playlist of 50 of the 100 songs.Mainly the ones I faved real quick while I was in the stream. EverfreeRadio I had a blast in the chat and well I think I want to be apart of the voting the next time you do this again in the coming year. Gosh several hours have past and I still am feeling the excitement of the chat and all the music. That is a sign of a long lasting song and community.
