ReplyDeleteIt's a tough call for me. I mean, Luna might be fun to travel with. I bet with her powers she can go just about anywhere in the universe. And she's Luna. :) Pinkie would be fun too. Even if you don't take her fourth-wall-breaking abilities into consideration. She's simply a fun pony to be around all the same. Now, if she actually could break the fourth wall, well, there's really no limits at that point. lol Twilight might be fun too. With her powers, she might be similar to Luna. Maybe just a little more limited, probably to just the planet. Plus you'd learn so much while traveling with her. She'd be like a really knowledged tour guide. As for other... there's Discord. You can't say traveling with him wouldn't be rather interesting, to say the least. :P Oh, and of course the usual suspect many would say... Dr Whoof. Need I say more?
Pinkie? Are you serious? Well, I guess it depends on what kind of traveling we're talking about. I'm certainly not up for eight hours of that in a packed up van, I'll tell you that right now.

Also, Seth does have a point. Trixie is the only pony to have shown any travel experience in the show (besides obvious people like Granny Smith). I mean, she even has her own wagon!!
Pinkie is fun from a distance I bet in real life she'd be exhausting to be around.

ReplyDeletePinkie Pie is in the lead? Are those people insane? Imagine: You're on hour 6 of your cross-country drive. Pinkie is bouncing up and down in the passenger seat and belting out Verse 37 of the We're In A Car song, which she is making up as she goes. Asking her to quiet down results in a 40-minute stream-of-consciousness monologue, which changes subjects at the end of every sentence. Only 120 miles to the next rest stop!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad Applejack finished ahead of somepony in the Mane 6 for once. I can see how a trip with Rarity may not be so much fun. She's great and all, but she's tge kind of pony you don't want to be sitting next to on a plane.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure travelling with Discord would be such a good idea, especially if by plane as he'd probably turn it into some sort of edible food while your 10,000 feet off the ground.
While Dash and AJ may be my top ponies for the mane cast, I think Twilight would probably be the most fun to travel with (aside from Pinkie, but there's a point where you have to wonder how much concentrated Pinkie Pie, 24 hours a day, can a sane person take).

ReplyDeleteI picked Spike, because he needs to go out on more adventures, and I think he'd be a blast to hang around with. There are many others I'd pick, too, if I had more than one choice, but I stuck with my favorite character.

Hmm... tough one between Rarity and Twilight.
ReplyDeleteRarity because, well: business class and up only, plus she's cultured, likes design and fasion and could be taken places with a Michelin Star or two without fear of embarrasment.
On the downside: luggage. My theory on luggage is if it needs wheels you shouldn't be taking it. If I can fly hand luggage only, then so much the better... I don't know if I could put up with all those bags, and my car certainly couldn't carry all of them.
Twilight on the other hand would be knowlegable, interested in everything (goodbye tourist trail) and could probably travel light, not to mention being organised...
...which would also be the downside. I like to wake up in a city and figure out what's going to happen that day over breakfast, not have everything pre-planned. Add the OCD and I imagine she'd be scarily like travelling with my mother.
In the end, probably Rarity... just need to bribe a baggage handler to loose a bag or two, or fork for porters.
