Yay! I waited patiently for once!
ReplyDeletethis is neat.
ReplyDeleteWOOT NEW MUSIC!
ReplyDeleteI see a lot of good artists, and some I dont
ReplyDelete@TheOneAndOnly
ReplyDeleteriveting tale, chap.
I got this album pre-ordered and listened to it today. It is really good, and very varied. Well done fandom!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a credit card. All you older bronies are really lucky :0
ReplyDelete@Nosnibor
ReplyDeleteI second that!
I second this album being awesome! Ive had the thing on repeat at work all day!
ReplyDeleteI wish it didnt have a 10$ minimum donation... I only have about 5 in my paypal and I cant afford to put more into my paypal because I am hella broke with my lack of being able to find work. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteDO WANT!
ReplyDeleteDO WANT!
ReplyDeleteI have done what i can. I hope it does make a diffrence
ReplyDeleteMakes me sad I haven't gotten the opportunity to really contribute any music to this community yet. :(
ReplyDeleteBut this is really nice. And wow, almost $10k in donations so far. Very nice. Lots of goodies in that track list I'm sure too.
crap... i live in germany T-T
ReplyDeleteGlad I didn't have to say "over nine thousand". The total is now over 10000, and considering that that is only in roughly three days that's pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteWay to go bronies, now let's see how high we can make that number go.
Sethisto, what's its donation bar say?
ReplyDeleteIt's...OVER 9000!!! GRAWR!
Wait a sec, isn't that a good thing?
In the orginal Japanese version, he said it's exceeding 8,000. *hipster shades*
ReplyDeleteWow, $10,000 and donations have only been open for a few days. Great job guys! Let's see if we can double that!
ReplyDelete@Sunset Sprinkles Yes but I was referencing the meem created from the oddly dubbed american one.
ReplyDeleteWill this album be freely available in the near future?
ReplyDeleteVegeta what does the scouter say about Gokus charity lv?
ReplyDeleteI am going to cough up money the moment I find out how. I love these guys with all my brony-ness
ReplyDeleteSeriously, i've been trying to buy this album for the past thirty minutes
ReplyDelete@4LLJ00R84536UY
ReplyDeleteActually the voice acting that created the OVER 9000 meme was done by the Canadians as part of the Ocean Dub (the first English language dub) of DBZ. In the second major dub the line was done differently and didn't sound as awesome.
Fun fact as we all like wearing our hipster specs today: The father of the voice actor of Sweetie Belle played Goku and Master Roshi in the Ocean Dub of DBZ.
Canadians do good voice acting.
Hope this goes onto Pirate Bay :)
ReplyDelete@Charlie Murphy
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is, and people are going to download it without regret, but those who actually purchased it are going to be the ones actually making a difference.
I dont know about you all, but I am trying to plug this any ways I can, JoyRx is an amazing charity, I have worked with children with cancer as a nurse and i can honestly say the difference groups like this is simply incredible. So get this out there bronies! tell everyone, today is a day we should be proud of ourselves as a community!
ReplyDelete@Eruanna
ReplyDeleteAww. I'm just a student myself, but if you seriously can't spare 5$...
Shoot me a message on the google type of mail account named fluttershyly and a donation shall be made in your name.
You'll find work someday, let the music cheer you up :)
What's that NCF? You took down some more videos? Yeah, we just gave over $10,000 to a childrens' cancer program. I think we both know who the better organisation is here.
ReplyDeleteDonated, tapping F5 every few seconds waiting for mine xD
ReplyDeleteWow, just wow. First the Humble Brony Bundle, now this.
ReplyDeleteThe generousity of this community is staggering. I'm surprised Rarity is so low scoring on best pony lists, we seem to have a lot in common with her. We're all extremely generous, but more importantly, we're sexy :D
I'm sure we donated this amount of money for good reasons and not just so we could spam OVER 9000 stuff. Otherwise the HBB would have plateaued after 9000.
I'd totaly buy this if I had a credit card. I have cash, but my Paypal only has like $2 in it. Curse my being a 16 year old brony...
ReplyDeleteHAHA, the Bonus Track is brilliant. Imagine, Moonbase Alpha with a Bass beat ;)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, and the rest is pretty awesome too.
Why doesn't my paypal have more money?!
ReplyDelete*Sigh* I guess I'll just have to go with $10 right now. Hopefully I can donate more later.
@antlershy Element of Generosity. :D
ReplyDeleteI love this fandom...
ReplyDeleteFlutterbuy will buy, one day. i have no money :p
ReplyDelete@Charlie Murphy
ReplyDeleteAll the musicians that were involved in this project received a free copy, but many (including myself) also donated to the charity anyway.
It's one thing to pirate a CD from a band that sells albums for their own profit. It's a totally different thing to pirate an album made by musicians that put a lot of heart and soul into the music and expect nothing in return.
In other words, out of all the albums you could either pirate or buy, this would be one to buy. The music is much more enjoyable knowing your contribution goes to a good cause.
I want to donate and get music because its seems like a fair trade off if the artists say so, but I have to wait until around the 30th for my PayPal to process money transference >.<
ReplyDeleteStill.......can't.........purchase..............album................
ReplyDeleteAnd @Charlie Murphy, you should be ashamed of yourself, I know I used to it myself and I feel ashamed of it but I would never do it for something like this
ReplyDelete@Navy Brony
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. The artists have put a ton of time and effort into their songs, even though they get nothing in return.
In an unrelated note, I really enjoy your song. I bet it would sound even more amazing with headphones, but unfortunately I lost mine :(
@Sunset Sprinkles
ReplyDeleteNever curse being a brony.
Check your gmail and enjoy your music.
On another note, it looks like it's been worked out so that donators of over $75 will get a custom commission in the vein of the Joseco livestreams.
ReplyDelete'Cause I don't like having free time and you all are awesome.
Well, all of you who didn't go and pirate it. Like folks said, there's a time and a place for torrents. This isn't it.

ReplyDelete@Mines5I'm sorry if I offended you or something... It's just that pony remixes are typically free. If it was free from the start, then I would definitely donate to the artists. My attitude above is probably due to my bias against commercial music; the only music I listen to is Creative Commons licensed music (including pony-inspired music). I won't feel ashamed of myself as you suggest, but I ask for forgiveness if I offended you/anypony else. There is only one track on there that I want (the artist's music is usually posted on Youtube, but was not this time).
ReplyDeleteas another note, I appreciate the hard work that each artist probably put into the music, and am not trying to undermine their work at all..
ReplyDeleteIs there a delay between making a donation and receiving the album, or did I screw up something?
ReplyDeleteI got my copy. It's freaking amazing!
ReplyDelete@JoeyH
ReplyDeleteIf you suspect that you've screwed up with the album claim, you can send an e-mail to smile.bfg@gmail.com. Just remember to provide the name you donated with and the exact amount that you donated. I sent a cutout of my receipt as proof, but from what was written in an earlier update, you only need to provide your name and the exact amount.
@Charlie MurphyNo, you don't. If you did, you'd realize that the artists intended for their music to be in this charity. The days that they spent working on their pieces were so that they might give incentive for people to donate. You're being extremely disrespectful by wanting their work to be released outside of what they intended, and a jerk in general for using the petty excuse of being against commercial music when this is a charity event.
ReplyDeleteI already paid 25$ yesterday, so how do I get the album?
ReplyDeleteSent them all the bits I could afford. Wow, they are over $11k now. You guys are awesome!!
ReplyDeleteTo all the musicians that collaborated in this awesome endeavour I would like to express my unending gratitude. Your efforts are truly something and thank you for acting in the spirit of Generosity. Rarity would be proud! :)
ReplyDeleteThere truly is no better feeling than giving to charity and receiving such a superb gift in return. I probably would have given even if there was no gift but I am very proud and impressed with it.
Once again, I'm sure that you have the gratitude of the entire Brony community, I know you have that of this Brony! :)
My thanks to all the organisers too as the process was simple and efficient.
Also to everyone who contributes even through sentiment and spreading the word, thank you.
Everyone, continue to shine for together we can make the world a better place, one step at a time. :D
Happy holidays and a wonderful new year to all!
Of all the things that make me proud of being a brony... this is THE. BEST. POSSIBLE. THING!
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, everypony spread this around to the whole world so they'll all realize how awesome we actually are. For talented brony musicians to come together to create an album of over 20 awesome songs and give 100% of the money gained to charity helping children who have cancer.
Best community out there. I'm so glad we're growing every single day :)
I need to get with the times and get a paypal...
ReplyDeleteU.S. Immigration Law, Y U SO COMPLEX?
OMG! Just got my digital copy from the bros at the charity, and it is glorious!!! I'm so glad to have donated for it. So worth it. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd the fact that the kids benefit from the donations made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It's my Christmas gift for them. :)
@Dusklight
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. We all appreciate your kind words!
Thanks to everypony for your support of the Children's Cancer Association, My Little Remix and Bronies for Good through this charity effort, 11.4K raised so far and counting!
ReplyDelete@Bronies for Good
ReplyDeleteThank you, the musicians and artists for this wonderful opportunity to show all the good this community can do.
@Dusklight
Well said. Well said.

ReplyDeleteThis makes me so proud to be a Brony. Nearly $12k raised? AWESOME. Though I'm now certain that my donation won't be enough to net a gift now; guess I'll have to make my own ponified headphones :D
ReplyDeleteMoving money to paypal now. Too bad it's taking so long.. Also, first post on EQD
ReplyDeleteWait, wait, wait, wait.. WAIT
ReplyDeleteSo the double rainbow thing is old ass.. but saying over 9000 isn't? :P
Pre-ordered mine and received yesterday (oh you BfG, Y U so sloppy with numbers XD ) and it's pretty good! I loved some of the songs in there, definitely worth what I payed for! (especially if for Chaaaaaarity, dear)
ReplyDeleteI sent money via paypal, it should arrive by the 4-6 of January XD, although the email system confused me too much so I said "screw it."
ReplyDelete@Mines5
ReplyDeleteAnd now it just has no card attached, I left a message with my actual name in saying, "I hope this is used for something good."
and its a matter of I would like the music but I don't need it :P
@qtheblue Apparently, asking for forgiveness was not enough. Contrary to your words, I do realize the intentions of the artists, and respect them to the fullest. Your opinion that a charity album should be treated differently than regular albums is your opinion, though, not mine. I feel bad enough that I'm being criticized for expressing my opinion, but trying to make up for it just escalated the problem, it seems. If it makes you feel any better, I will not download/pirate this album. Sorry if I offended you or the artists. Not that apologizing will help at all. I don't know what else to say.

ReplyDelete@Charlie Murphy
ReplyDeleteThink of it from a different perspective. We knew from the start this was going to be a charity album. A gift to the community in exchange for donating what they normally would a full CD, except instead of any artists profiting, the proceeds go to a charity fundraiser.
For many artists on the album, this was the first time we'd ever done something that would actually be "sold" to a large group of people, and thus, we had to exceed the expectations of those who would be buying it, because if we didn't, donators would have felt cheated out of their donation, by giving them a CD of songs not too different than they can find on YT for free.
Everything about this project was meant as a reward for helping raise money for a good cause. Each artist spent more time on the composition, more time on mastering, and made sure the output quality was as high as possible. The album organizers made sure the album was as professionally created as possible, with smooth transitions, relative genre matching, and even album artwork, so it's as close as possible to a high quality CD you'd buy at a store.
The musicians involved created this out of their own love for this project, and a chance to let their creativity be used as a positive impact for a child less fortunate. It was meant as a reward to those who share that same passion to help a child in need, a big thank you to those who donated.
Our reward is knowing that the music we created to raise money for charity is good enough to inspire people to donate. Openly stating that you want to pirate this album, especially on a site that the majority of the musicians check on a regular basis, is the equivalent of sticking a middle finger to our face, saying, "Your music isn't good enough for me to spend some spare cash on charity to get it."
