1.) Foxytail - Discord Glitches Ice Cap
2.) The Living Tombstone - Been Dreamin'~ (Instrumental)
3.) Michael Arellano Feat. DerpyGrooves - I Need That (Valence Remix)
Call me crazy, but did #1 have anything to do with Pony? Other than those oc pictures? I mean, I'm all for pony inspired pieces, but a remix of the most remixed Sonic 3 song? With only a tangential connection to Pony? Not on.
#1 Heh, Foxytail. Haven't seen him in a long time now. Not really a fan, he's always seemed maybe a little bit attention-seeking to me to be honest. This tune was so/so. Favorite part was that funny pic of him and Flash. lol
#2 Yay, Living Tomb. Not bad with this one. Has that kind of signature sound and flow I recognize in many of his songs. Nice job.
#3 This one has a kinda cool beat I could dance to, I like it.
I know it's not pony related but my brother and I were just getting nostalgic over the older Sonic games (seeing as Sonic Generations just came out). The first games with a challenge that I remember playing and my inevitable love for gaming started with those games.
@milleniummaster18Can't stand anything not pony related? No. Think that on a site dedicated to pony the music and other such stuff on display should have some tangental relation to pony? Yes.
For the same reason I wouldn't watch a weather report to find out the sports news, I don't come here for Sonic 3 remixes. I'm not saying I can't appreciate it, Sonic 3 was maybe the first video game I played, I just don't think it fits.
Ah... 'Glitch' music. I remember when Richard D. James and Tom Jenkinson pioneered that sort of thing by rewiring homemade hobby synths and drawing smıly faces and wieners on drum trigger piano rolls.
Then theʎ edit▀d it to sound good·
Nowadaʎs it's add Dblue Glitch and Suppa┴riggɐ to someone ǝlse's music and pre▒s 'play'.

ReplyDelete#1's pretty good, though I've no idea who, "Icecap," I'm guessing it's an OC, possibly the one in the video?
ReplyDelete#1 oc alert. I thoufht that the whole thing was just an intro building up some epic theme, but apparantly not
ReplyDelete#1 I liked the beat in this one, well done.
ReplyDelete#2 Call me biased, but every remix of Been Dreamin' I highly enjoy, this is no exception.
#3. I like it
Number 1 is a remix of Ice Cap from Sonic the Hedgehog.
ReplyDeleteHere's the original music. Original
#1 Completely unrelated to ponies. Still awesome though.
ReplyDeleteIce Cap Zone*
ReplyDeleteYou never played Classic Sonic Jelfes and Bombe? Le gasp. :O
@Jelfes
ReplyDeleteIce cap zone is a level from sonic the hedgehog. that song is a remix of the BGM from that level
Number two is really fun. It has bounce.

ReplyDeletePerhaps he's using Photo Finish's pronunciation as seen here?
@Jelfes
ReplyDeleteIt's from the 5th Stage of Sonic 3, Ice Cap Zone.
Pick it up to play if you can. It's a great game from an era of great games.
@Sun Ray
ReplyDeleteBecause the Ice Cap Zone is fucking awesome, that's why.
I never thought that THIS song from Foxy would end up here. I gasp at this.
ReplyDeleteActually, no.
1. Sweet sound.
ReplyDelete2. Tombstone has done it again!
3. Interesting speed for that song.

ReplyDeleteGreat remix of that zone's music.
For those wondering what "Futashy means, it is a reference to Futanari http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futanari

I fail to see the relevance to ponies in that Ice Cap remix. Still awesome, though. I'd love to see a proper SonicXMLP crossover
ReplyDeleteAnd so, the idiots that can't stand anything not pony related emerge, what took you so long?

There are lots of IceCap Zone remixes out there, but this one doesn't seem to have anything to do with ponies.
