Holy Celestia, that is a lot of detail. Harwick is a badass! He needs a Deviant Art page though.
Have some art!
Note: As is the norm for Drawfriend posts following a new episode, its completely filled to the brim with all sorts of spoilers. Avoid it if you haven't seen today's yet!

Wow, #1 is epic in detail.
ReplyDeleteAnivia? Psssshhh, LeBlanc.
ReplyDeleteWow, big spike.
ReplyDeleteAmazing drawfriend. Just.....stunning
ReplyDelete#11 ...Interesting shirt you got there, Rarity...
ReplyDelete#6 Spitfire is the sexiest pony.
ReplyDelete#33 I stand corrected.
I love Anivia.
ReplyDeleteNot as many Twirity pictures as I thought there would be.
ReplyDeleteEeeeh. Isn't number 11 a little saucy for here? The word, anyway.
ReplyDeleteamazing as the episode that inspired it n_n
ReplyDeleteI wish I could vector stuff...
ReplyDeleteI can still sketch, though!
Can't wait to get these downloaded!
ReplyDelete"Anivia is way cooler". I see what you did there. :D
ReplyDelete*scrolling*
ReplyDeleteWow, people put fan art out so fast after a new episode, I'm actually pretty jealo...
*sees #11*
... I'll be in my bunk.
That first one's kinda sad though - the picture is called "One Last Parade"
ReplyDeleteI want to read number 21 right now
ReplyDeletelol 11 win
ReplyDeleteWhy has nobody said anything about lil' derpy 8:31 into the episode?
ReplyDeleteI'm ok with the CMC's cutie marks
ReplyDeleteLove the Homestuck reference at #28
ReplyDeleteawwww yeaaaa
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love #1. It's kinda sad, but very epic. I love the detail, especially the references to each of the other mane 6 ponies (the apple, the balloon, Rarity's cutie mark on the fabric in Spike's bag, the butterfly and the blue feather floating just above Twi). Gotta love the 4th wall breaking Pinkie who's still young in the back of the crowd on the right. XD
ReplyDeleteThe first image... it seems kinda bittersweet to me. Everyone's happy, yet it's titled "One Last Parade". Twilight is old and appears to be just sleeping, yet it also looks like Spike and Celestia have tears welling up. Spike's face expression also looks sad.
ReplyDeleteMmm.
first one made me cry :(
ReplyDelete#11 Um...
ReplyDeleteAwwww, no pony lebowski art yet?
ReplyDeleteYay more pony arts! So many pieces based off the newest episodes of course. Especially Applebloom and hoops. I saw many of these on Ponibooru earlier today.
ReplyDelete#1 Indeed a good little bit of detail in this. Why they don't have an art profile on a place like dA is beyond me. Obviously a really talented artist. Definitely should have their art seen often.
#17 Of course this new background character it seems so many Bronies are fawning over. I still don't get the attraction though. She just seems... normal to me kinda. Other than being taller than most. Her hair is kinda like Vinyl's sure, but I don't particularly find her near as dynamic. Dunno. Guess people dubbed her "Allieway" though.
#11 Oh my. That water-soaked Rarity. Also that shirt... oh that shirt... o.o; Inb4 and inafter much rage was had this day? Haha.
#28 Awww, com'on, Seth! This is hilarious and awesome right here! Love it. What now? <3
#33 Based on a great classic piece of art. Likely also based on the new episode today. :P
#34 Awwww, poor Tom... his heart is broken. :( Can rocks have hearts? Well, they can now!
Super detailed edition!
ReplyDeleteTo tell the truth, this one almost stumped me.
The Birth of Venus/Rarity?
ReplyDeleteImagine an epic fresco of that on the roof of the Sistene. No- St. Peter's Basilica. WIN.
What's happening in number 1? Is twi dead or something, it seems lik the others are. Little hints in there to show that
ReplyDeleteI know this isn't really the best place to say this, but I noticed something that helpls my Derpy-is-half-alicorn theory.
ReplyDeleteif you watch cutie mark chronicles you can find a fully grown derpy in the background when celestia is raising the sun in twilights story, WHEN SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A FILLY!
oh yeah and good drawfriend stuff to I guess.
#30
ReplyDeleteBrace yourselfs.
Winter is coming.
@alexrockclimber
ReplyDeleteI think that really is the message the artist is trying to convey... Can't tell for sure without them saying one way or the other.
Anivia es #1 bird, hue hue hue.
ReplyDelete28: Homestuck? In my ponies? It's more likely than you think!
ReplyDeleteAlthough part of me really feels sorry for Terezi for being compared to Trixie. XP
#1: Wow, great concept and wonderful execution. Harwick's proven to have a great eye for color and detail. I love the little filly near the bottom left with a book at her side, and also, Pinkie Pie seems ageless. ;) Easily my favorite drawing of the night.
ReplyDelete#2: Loopty-hooping, the latest craze!
#5: This almost looks like it could be a label for products from Sweet Apple Acres.
#6: This is why we need more Spitfire art. Great sunset coloring.
#9: I love the angle in this drawing, and Scootaloo's expression; this is probably the cutest hero-worshiping drawing I've seen of these two.
#11: I have to wonder if Sethisto missed the word on Rarity's shirt. Very, very out of character for her.
#12: I love the old-fashioned feel of this label design; this really does look like it could be used on product packaging.
#17: And already one of the new background ponies has gained fanart and a name. I approve. (Not that it matters one whit what I think...)
#18: "Reading is magic"; yes it is... Love the style on this one.
#21: Terrific homage to a terrific comic! So this means Spike is Snowy, right?
#23: Very good, atmospheric drawing; I'm curious as to what they could be reacting to, though...
#26: And Briskby shows how charming a non-drunk Berry Punch can be, especially when paired with her little sister.
#28: Maybe the funniest fan art I've seen of Trixie yet.
#29: She's Derpy, and she can breathe in space.
#31: Wonderful portrait of Luna, really highlighting her role as the Ruler of the Night.
#32: Wonderful portrait of Celestia and Philomena out for a morning flight together. I hope we get to see Philomena in the series again before long...
#33: What we would have seen if Spike, not Apple Bloom, had been the sculptor.
#38: Interesting speculation on what the CMC's cutie marks might eventually be.
#37. Damn you, Armor Rule.
ReplyDeleteHeck yeah Anivia! Best champion in LoL!
ReplyDelete@Coustify
ReplyDeletePlenty of people have mentioned it in the "Cutie Pox" discussion thread. So, does this make Derpy a time traveler, a shape shifter, or a background pony who's used even more randomly than most background ponies?
I wouldn't say 11 is saucy... more like... tasteless...
ReplyDeleteSo I examined number one, which is near-or-above awesome, and noticed a few things I didn't notice at first:
ReplyDeleteAlthough only two of the Mane 6 are present, all six of them are represented by symbolic items nevertheless. Twilight is represented by the book on which she happily rests, and Applejack by the apple on her book. There dangles a cyan balloon to honor Pinkie, and a feather of the same color may have once been a part of Rainbow's plumage. A pink butterfly rests on Spike's saddlebags to pay tribute to Fluttershy, and dangling from the saddlebags is a white scarf with Rarity's cutie mark on it.
I also note that there seems to be some degree of interaction between objects which hints at the relationships each of the Mane Six share. The apple rests on the book, perhaps as a reference to the strong friendship Applejack shared with Twilight. The butterfly rests on the saddlebag carrying the scarf, and sure enough, Fluttershy and Rarity are likely best friends. Although the feather and balloon are not within a close proximity of each other, they both fly free in the sky, perhaps to recall the carefree spirits they represented. Moreover, they also share a color, much as Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie enjoyed sharing interests.
I must say I enjoy this image greatly! God bless you, Harwick.
11 would be awesome were it not for the word on her shirt. I mean...really?
ReplyDeleteThe 1st is pretty sad .. until you look in the top right hand corner of the crowd
ReplyDelete#37 is freakin' awesome!
ReplyDeleteEspecially cause it's done in color pencil.
Also Seth that's some Kirin armor on Twi; that stuff is just plain skimpy on anything.
I will say that it does seem weird for an unicorn pony to be wearing armor made from another unicorn... Why am I thinking of Cupcakes all of a sudden?
>21
ReplyDeleteWell, I know what I'm re-reading tonight
twilight sporting Rarity's mane is a-ok with me!
ReplyDeleteOne could always say that Rarity's wearing her shirt from her visit to Seattle and after riding the South Lake Union Trolley....
ReplyDelete...but that's a bit of a stretch.
DAT DETAILS
ReplyDeleteEpic Drawfriend!
My god, #1... just... my god. It is so very sad... although I still don't understand why Pinkie Pie looks like she hasn't aged a day in that parade.
ReplyDelete@jodyjm13
ReplyDeleteI noticed Pinkie back there in #1, not a day older than we know her. I wonder if it's the hypothesis I've seen in some fics that she's actually a deity in disguise.
Also, Twilight's... last... parade... *sniffle*
11 made me go, "No. Just... no."
ReplyDelete17: I fell in love with this unicorn when I first saw her. I don't know why. I just love her design so much! Nice to know she's got a fan name now.
if i had a dollar for every pixle in that #1
ReplyDeletemy house would over flow with pony
@Pegasus Rescue Brigade
ReplyDeleteAs much as I hate to speak ill of any art posted here, your description does fit...
Is there a reason why Rarity is calling herself a slut?
ReplyDeleteThat Venus pose!
The first one actually kind of makes me sad...
ReplyDeleteNo Big Lebowski scene recreations? Fanbase, I am disappoint.
ReplyDelete#21. I remember that Tin Tin book.
ReplyDelete#1 gives me that same deep emotional feeling that I get at the end of the last Lord of the Rings movie, when Bilbo, Frodo, Gandalf, and the elves leaves on the grey ships. An end of a journey, a final farewell and yet a new beginning.
ReplyDeleteIt is that powerfully emotion, and for that, it is that awesome.
That Harwick: arts and smarts!
ReplyDelete#1 Lol at Old Twilight and an unaging Celestia
ReplyDelete#20 Lol
#1 Makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteIt gives Best pony mortality.
Wtf is up with 11? Seriously?
ReplyDeleteTop left pegasi of #1 made me think of Butterscotch, except that the eyes weren't blue.
ReplyDeleteYech, Applebloom spoke fancy.
ReplyDelete>inb4 AppleSpy
(that was a hint, artistic people!)
#37
ReplyDeleteIt's funny because I already did that. ;)
I liked #17 in episode today. Very unique model.
ReplyDeleteI knew she was getting a fan name and I kinda wondered how we would ever, as a group, decide on a name that we all agree on.
Then I see that name, and yup, fits perfectly. Most impressive.
The Series Finale needs to be based off of #1
ReplyDeleteTo answer some people's concerns, with #1 I personally see Twilight as being past the age of adventuring but basking in the love of her mentor and #1 assistant, the memories of her friends and the thanks of Equestria. It's something of a creative bookend to my last Drawfriend image of scared filly Twilight on her first day as Celestia's student. However, people are more than welcome to interpret the image any way they like.
ReplyDelete#2: You know... for kids! I really enjoyed today's episode and love the instantaneous artwork to be found in the following drawfriend.
#3: So peaceful, and I like the different take on the mane and tail.
#4: That's a fun Trixie... but what did I miss about the day?
#5: This is a cool style, and I love the framing of it all.
#6: Very awesome... The color, shading, all of it.
#7: I have no idea what this is referencing, but I love the pencil sketch itself.
#8: My god is Twilight adorable. I love the unkempt mane, with such awesome detail!
#9: Worm's-eye view was an epic composition choice for this particular image. Love it.
#10: I feel a little wrong for looking at her shining flank, but she's too damn cute to look away.
#11: Does a wet t-shirt actually reveal anything on a pony? A very cute face on soaked Rarity either way.
#12: I love the design! I may have to buy an old crate just so I can print this out and glue it to the side!
#13: Charming all the way around... Just a fun style, and goggles are always cool.
#14: Another cool style. I wonder if Twi can pull on her mane like Pipsqueak did with Luna.
#15: This seems so accurate to Scratch.
#16: I am so out of the loop on these. I like her outfit though.
#17: Yes! I loved this background pony in today's episode! It was great to see a mare with a different body shape who wasn't someone's mom/grandmother. Well, at least not obviously someone's mom. With this fandom, who knows how long that will last.
#18: Twilight makes reading look epic. I like the style here quite a bit!
#19: I know they're already at that age, but there's something very teenagish about this Dash design.
#20: It took me a minute to get the voodoo-doll joke here, but it made me laugh.
#21: I'm missing a reference again... Looks like a fun story though. Pinkie's having a ball at least.
ReplyDelete#22: This was my second favorite bit from today's episode. (Number one being "She's speaking in Fancy!") Personally, I think Twilight looks better with bangs, but it was a fabulous moment, regardless of her disapproval here!
#23: Yikes! What's happening to Rarity and Sweetie Bell? Great drawing, but inquiring minds want to know!
#24: Heh... This character I recognized, although I haven't played much Soul Caliber.
#25: Urban dictionary had to clue me in on the slang. You kids with your newfangled ways... Funny image!
#26: Awwww... Berry Punch can be totally adorable sober as well.
#27: Don't know who they are, but they make a nice couple!
#28: Yeah, she could use a slap or two... but Trixie could totally take me in a fight, so get Applejack or someone to do it.
#29: Should... should she be getting out there?
#30: Cool. I imagine that this is what Twilight looked like for a good half hour after getting out of that Lamborghini she was driving.
#31: Such soft and cool coloring work!
#32: The colors and composition on this are quite lovely, and I always liked Philomena (or however that's spelled.)
#33: Suddenly this is a very popular piece of art with the ponies. It being Rarity only improves it.
#34: Poor Tom. Creepy, creepy crying Tom. ;-)
#35: Celestia looks kind of bad-ass here... like she's totally about to pwn me somehow.
#36: You just know Scootaloo was jealous when Applebloom took flight.
#37: I think Twilight might feel a draft... Epic Discord, by the way.
#38: Nice job on the cutie mark designs! I like all three!
#39: I do love that poor Twilight gets her mane messed with so often. Adorable image here.
#40: What a great sketch! I may be biased, but I totally think that Twilight riding on brooms should be a thing.
you, good sir sethisto, have poor taste in female game characters *slaps with a white glove*
ReplyDeleteSo, whoever made number 38 needs to send that shit to Jason as soon as possible, because those pretty damn good cutie marks, so good they're basically head-canon for me now, and if they ever do get their marks, if they're not these ones, I will never get past it. Especially Appleblooms! I was always stumped about what hers could be, since her talent seems to be that she's just generally handy at building/crafting, but this is perfect!
ReplyDeleteWe must will these into existence as we did Ditzy. While we're at it we need get Big Mac some more lines.
Also, very nice #33, "The Birth of Venus".
ReplyDeleteNever would have thought I would see a pony version of such a classic masterpiece.
I jagsfan.gif'd at #11
ReplyDeleteYay Drawfriend~!
ReplyDelete#1 Well obviously, I simply must start out with this piece. Harwick once again gives us a piece with gorgeous coloring and attention to detail (kudos to you, dear). I love the painterly style of the piece, the way you portray light and shadow and all the little touches to look for throughout, even if the whole concept is extremely sad. I think my favorite thing about this piece, after giving it a close look is Celestia's mane (it looks like a piece of beautiful glittering sugary candy or something) as well as her torc; it seriously looks like real gold here and I LOVE that. Beautiful, dear!
#2 A fantastic little fanart of Apple Bloom here, perfectly capturing her initial joy in that scene. ^^
#5 Such a lovely little Applejack fanart! She is showcased perfectly here. ^.^
#6 I really like the way this piece was colored; it has a very warm and soft feeling to it.
#7 I'm not really sure what's going on here, but this is a nice little sketch of Rainbow, I think. Captures the feeling of her character perfectly in my opinion.
#8 Simple but cute little Twilight piece. ^^ I love the stars in her eyes! And the hair texture added to this is interesting and sets it apart as well, I like that.
#12 I absolutely love this one... it perfectly captures the feeling of an old vintage poster. I would love to have this hanging on my wall somewhere, honestly.
#20 This one did give me a chuckle, silly as it is. Poor Rarity!
#22 You should wear your hair up and off your face more often, Twilight dear; it's very becoming on you.
#23 Ohh, what is going on in this one!? That is so incredibly sad but cute. This artist's tendency for limited palettes really works for this piece, and their body language was captured really well I think, but still... poor ponies!
#28 That would be funny if it were not so obnoxious, yes. Or vise-versa.
#29 This one made me smile. ^_^ Cute and rather nicely done, as well.
#33 Okay this is... just classic. SO hilarious. I can't believe this idea never occurred to me before but yes, brilliant spoof I love it. ^.^
#38 These all work quite well in my opinion, though it might have been nice to add a little more jade green to Sweetie Belle's, to compliment her eyes better. ^.^ But that's probably just me.
#39 Own it, Twilight~
#40 This piece reminds me of Twilight's Delivery Service again, which is a nice thing. Cute simple little sketchy piece here; I like it.
@masem
Oh my gosh, I seriously still cry EVERY single time I see the end of those movies. Even if I've seen them probably thirty times now, as well as read the books what must be at least fifteen times since the first time when I was eleven years old. It just gets me every. Single. Time... so moving in every way... @_@
The more I look at #1, the more I want to cry.
ReplyDelete#11 That's utterly ridiculous. She wouldn't ever be that tacky or lacking in class.
ReplyDelete#36 The apple-copter goes SOI! SOI! SOI! SOI!
#1 seriously brought a tear to my eye. Lovely, simply lovely.
ReplyDeleteI see, personally, in #1 the final day of Twighlight on the surface of Equestria and instead of it being a solemn day, they are trying to make it a happy day for her to remember in whatever comes after the mortal life of a pony
ReplyDelete#1 Pinkie Pie doesn't age? I knew it!
ReplyDelete@Harwick
ReplyDeleteNow I want to cry harder, but in a happy way. You are a phenomenal artist, to evoke such emotion.
Fluttersinged
ReplyDeleteThe Great and Powerful LeTrixie
So... Master Rainbow Dash, Tarity, Ryzelight Sparkle, Pinkiesticks, and Applegraves are in the offing, I assume? Not to mention Sona Heartstrings, Bonbongana, Scootalookong... the terrible puns go on and on.
@Onestop
ReplyDeleteSeries Finale!? Such words should not be spoken!
Though I must say that I found the first to be beautiful and saddening, it appears to me that the parade is in honor of the hero of Equestria who has at this point passed on. As far as Pinkie? I got nothing.
Also #11, I used to troll all of my Rarity loving friends.
If you go to the source of #17, the artist has updated the drawing with Allie's cutie mark. Well worth an extra click.
ReplyDeleteMore commentary/speculation on Harwick's beautiful "One Last Parade": There's a pegasus stallion on the left that looks to have the same coat and mane colors as Fluttershy, and a pegasus filly on the right who's similarly patterned after Derpy. Are they grandchildren of those popular ponies, and are there other such surprises hidden among the crowd?
Oh god, # 1 gave me some serious feels... I just hope I'm interpreting it incorrectly.
ReplyDeleteNumber 1... it makes me tear up. Truly a sad piece but beautiful too. The saddest part is the single feather from Rainbow Dash's wing. that, to me, is what makes me cry. Seriously, all the other symboles are touching but something about that lone feather just... floodgates, though have been opened.
ReplyDeleteAlso... *clears throat* Anyone notice pinkie pie in the background of number 1?
is that fluttershy's son up in the corner of #1
ReplyDeleteAlso, if I am not mistaken it would appear at least some of the background ponies are children and grandchildren of the mane six.
ReplyDelete@Spitfire not the wonderbolt
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was just about to mention it.
Number 1... is so sad, and I noticed what Ford said too(before he said it, moreover)
ReplyDeletei think.. think ima cry now..
#1... what a touching, bittersweet celebration of a life lived well, having ancient friends bear your weary bodOH FFS, Pinkie Pie!! Really!? Seriously!?
ReplyDelete<3
#37 is the best thing i have ever seen in my life.
ReplyDeletethat is completely true about the armor by the way. you cant honestly tell me that stuff actually protects them.
#1 Great, now I am full of sad after seeing :( Great picture though. How come Pinkie looks the same though?
ReplyDelete#11 .....really? The picture itself isn't bad, but the wording on the shirt just makes it tasteless, at least to me anyways
#29 Perhaps a reference to the Stolen Earth episode? In this case, Stolen Equestria.
And sorry Twilight, Rarity's style don't fit you. It's much better as it normally is.
Well, back to Skyrim. I need to battle a dragon or something to get my mind off #1
(peers through binoculars at comments, explosions)
ReplyDeleteKloudmutt, you magnificent bastard, THEY READ YOUR SHIRT!!
Why no John Goodman pony, or any of the others from "The Big Lebowski"?
ReplyDelete#1...the ways one can interpret it are truly diverse. Yet its still shows that our ponies arent timeless. They too much sleep. But till that day comes, we sure as hay are gonna love them! *nuzzle*
ReplyDeletePut the #2 source http://don-komandorr.deviantart.com/art/Applebloom-268664941
ReplyDeleteI wanna all faves :P
N6 is so <3 <3 <3
I don't think #1 is sad. Twilight doesn't seem to be. The mementos scattered around her would seem to indicate that the rest of her friends are gone (except for Pinkie, who's mysteriously hiding on the far right. But, I'd rather look at it as that's Pinkie's prankster daughter than the real her). So, now that her work in this world is done, undoubtedly safer and brighter because of it, why would she not be happy to join her dearest friends in the hereafter? Celestia knows this, that's why she doesn't seem all that upset. Spike understands this as well, which is what allows him to carry on, but he is still saddened by the loss of his own closest friend.
ReplyDeleteOf course, she isn't dead yet. They wouldn't intentionally parade Twilight's body around like that. Or, if she is, she passed on quietly only moments before this scene.
It is Spike in this scene that stands out to me the most. He's always been taking care of Twilight, and probably especially so in her later years. She trusts and loves him so, that she's perfectly content to cuddle up to his side while perched, rather precariously, on his wing. She could have been escorted by Celestia's royal guard, but no, There wasn't anyone that was more qualified to carry her than this dragon.
And the way he looks at her is touching. He knows she doesn't have much time left, if any at all. He's not showboating to the crowd. He's not even paying attention to the road. He's watching only Twilight. He has to, it's his duty. His eyes show so much concern. He owes everything to her. Twilight probably wouldn't think so, but he does.
#1 Very sad, yet beautful and heartwarming :')
ReplyDelete#11 Damnit, Kloudmutt, if you're gonna be the screwed up, bad example of this comminuty you are, atleast keep everypony you draw in-character. -_-
#28 LMAO, THAT'S AWESOME.
#37 Oh, for fuck's sake...
17. Dawww. What a fabulous new background pony.
ReplyDelete22. But you look it.
28. Hey Twilight. Would you take care of this for me? Thanks.
39. Nice hair.
this is one of the best drawfreinds ive seen in a while!
ReplyDelete@goldenCapitalist
ReplyDeleteWell, Celestia doesn't seem to age, and Pinkie breaks the 4th wall and has interesting powers; she probably won't either.
Oh my, dear Celestia, #1 has brought on serious tears. How beautiful and poignant!
ReplyDelete#1
ReplyDeleteOw! My heart is literally hurting from seeing this (and that's damn impressive!). What a sad concept, yet almost happy. It really is nice to know I can still feel something there.
#11
What's this, and anime-esqe pinup poster I can enjoy?! Surely you jest!
#17
Allie is so adorable!
#29
Reminds me of the scene from Dr. Who S5E2
#33
A beautiful drawing from a painting just as beautiful. Huge fan of classical and Renaissance art her people!
#36
Oh Jon, you gave us a noise for the ROFLcopter. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
No Jesus pony Big Labowski cross over pics? Fandom, I am disappoint.
ReplyDeleteOHMYGOSHOMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH MONSTER HUNTER TRI PONY!
ReplyDelete#1 At what point do manly tears become not manly? Because they won't stop.
ReplyDeleteDude...Malzahar all the way
ReplyDeleteWait! Twi old and spike grown up, that is so sad. Oh and look it's a Flutterguy! And pinky breaking the fourth wall as always. This is so cool!
ReplyDelete#1 - And yet, Pinkie is in the background young as ever?
ReplyDelete#10 - Ohhhh HELL. I just KNOW what some people are going to put there...
#11 - She is not! How dare you say such a thing about a lady?
#20 - Everything's better with voodoo!
#28 - ... *smacks*
#29 - Derpy... You need air, silly filly!
#34 - I feel sad for a rock... HOW DID YOU DO THAT? HOW DO I FEEL SAD FOR A ROCK?! WTF IS WRONG WITH ME?
#1 I really, really like this picture. Like, a lot. Like, I want to frame it and hang it.
ReplyDelete#17 Allie, huh? I like it.
#24 Ah, Tira. Possibly the coolest character I never play.
Also: Rammus all the way. If MMOs have taught me one thing, it's that there's no tank like a taunt tank.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteOh right, let me go through them again so I can write some comments down.
ReplyDelete1) …Well I want to comment on this, but I have nothing to actually say. It's awesome and speaks for itself.
7) Huh what?
11) It's faint, but yes, I can read what's on her shirt. Reminds me of a fic I read where AJ said something along those lines while drunk and didn't realize Rarity was right there.
14) What the heck does that hair feel like!? I asked before if it was even tangible, but then I re-watched Nightmare Night and saw Pip tug on Luna's hair.
17) I had a friend point out that he really liked Allie. I should show him this art if I'm not too lazy. …But I am.
34) Tom will never die!
37) MONSTER HUNTER! YEAH!
38) I declare these cutie marks officially Fanon until Canon moves in. (And I doubt it ever will) They're just that awesome. Do I have the power to declare Fanon titles? Don't care.
22 + 39) I like her mane! Though it doesn't suit her that well, it's still funny.
#11 I simply cannot let this crime of evil and rude understatement go UNCORRECTED!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFor i say niegh to this pic >=
#28 "WHAT NOW" haters =D *does the wavy thing*
First Picture: Aww shit Pinkypie can time travel!
ReplyDeleteeveryone loves 11 and they know it.
ReplyDeletethat 33 is hilarious
ReplyDeleteHarwick has torn my heart asunder. The momentos representing the other girls really got to me. Also how calm Celestia is. She's seen ponies come and go. Even as special as Twilight is, Celly knew the day would come. Aw...now I made myself more sad.
ReplyDeleteNotice who's in the background looking right at us: Pinkie Pie. Perhaps the Doctor gave her the chance to see how famous she and the others would become.
ReplyDelete#1 is really sad, poor Spike looks like he's about to start crying. Really well done.
ReplyDeleteFINALY!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete21# A TINTIN CROSSOVER!!!
MY FAVOURATE COMIC SERIES!!
Err... #11... umm... wtf? Of everything that could've been put on that shirt, why that word...
ReplyDelete#11 is making me reconsider my status as a Brony.
ReplyDelete21 is awesome, I haven't read a Tintin comic in forever!
ReplyDeleteAddendum: Seriously I can tolerate the some of the weirder things that every fan base has (shipping, etc)... but #11 has no place amongst any of it.
ReplyDelete#1 A beautiful picture. Sad, yet happy all the same, as it is the celebration of the life of a heroine. Bittersweet to the max. She rests surrounded by the memories of her friends, with a smile on her face because she knows she will soon get to see them again in the hereafter.
ReplyDeleteWell, all except Pinkie Pie (if that is indeed her in the back). The theory I have is that laughter makes one feel young, no matter how old you actually are. As the living embodiment of the Element of Laughter, Pinkie Pie is effectively immortal. I imagine that Laughter would not be so cruel as to keep her alive, young, and immortal forever, and deny her the reward of her rest and seeing her friends again. I imagine that once Pinkie has had all the fun she wants in this world, she could choose to move on to the next.
At least that's the way I see her presence there.
#1 -- I don't think it'll pan out like this. Twilight at the least is going to become an alicorn herself in the end.
ReplyDeleteWhy? Because she'd fit comfortably between day and night. Like, I dunno... *TWILIGHT*! :D
1# Is just so sweet and sad at the same time. Spike looks like he is about to cry.Twilight looks so peaceful and she's surrounded by momentos of her friends who she is going to going in the afterlife. Personally, I think the Pinkie Pie is Pinkies daughter as the balloon represents Pinkie which means Pinkie is dead. Also the Fluttershy stallion is really sweet, this picture made me cry quite a bit
ReplyDelete#11 WHAT?! NO! I CANNOT STAND FOR THIS MONSTROSITY! They defaced Rarity!
"Happy 100 Lady Twilight Sparkle!"
ReplyDelete:)
-Derpy Hooves is immortal!
XD
Title: One Last Parade.
D: -______________- Twilight... T_______T
When I saw #1, my immediate emotion was sadness and I'd only glanced at it in passing. That's pretty deep.
ReplyDeleteThough, the rest are all great. #11, not sure of what to think of that one...but eh. Without the term on the shirt, it'd be alright.
Otherwise, these are great.
I've a feeling #11 wasn't intentional on Sethisto's part. If you're on a laptop, the words can be all but invisible if you have your screen angled a certain way.
ReplyDelete#1: Look in the far right corner of the crowd and tell something doesn't seem odd.
ReplyDeleteawesome stuff, love the Twilight with Rarity hair xD
ReplyDelete#1 is purely amazing! I do agree with Midnight Tea, however. I believe Twilight will become a third alicorn along with Celestia and Luna at some point. Not only is she the twilight to fit between day and night but she is also hugely into stars .. which would land her in control of, possibly, heavenly bodies aside from the sun and moon.
ReplyDeleteBest part of the picture? Not Pinkie Pie in the right corner and not the memento from each friend. It's in the bottom left, .. the small unicorn holding the big book, looking on at the greatest unicorn in all of Equestria.
#1 - this picture is worth every single second artist spent making it. There is nothing more than perfection in every detail.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly, I want to read "A Summer Twilight: again...
@DruVirus
ReplyDeleteYah so Twi watches the other 5 wither away and die from old age as she takes up the horrifically lonely task of immortal monarch, yeah that's SO much better...
READ "TO BE AN ALICORN" BEFORE YOU WISH SUCH A CURSE ON TWILIGHT, KTHNX
#1 - incredible detail for a bittersweet moment. Seeing an adult spike carrying twilight makes me think of how often she carried him on her back as a baby dragon. Now, as her life draws to a close, he returns the favor...
ReplyDelete#1 saddens me a bit, seeing Twilight so old and decrepit
ReplyDeletealso #36 is my cutie mark copter and it goes Soi Soi Soi Soi Soi
#12: That is just such a legit design I want to see it on a jug of cider.
ReplyDelete#29: River jumps out of airlocks to escape pursuit. Derpy jumps out because "That constellation sort of looks like a muffin, don'tcha think?"
#33: All right, I'll bite. This was a pretty fun parody =P
#1 This is a wonderful piece of art. DA page. NOW!
ReplyDeleteBut is also so sad, she is dead/dying and so have all her friends (judging by the Rarity in her bag, the apple, blue feather and the butterfly). Seeming as alicorns get their immortality from magical prowess wouldn't Twi? Though an adult Spike carrying her is so sweet :)
#21 Brilliant!
#10 CALL THE EXORCIST!
Yeaah, #one stole the show xD
ITT: people freaking out over #11
ReplyDelete#1: What's that, Twilight's funeral ?! Great picture anyway !
ReplyDelete#21: WHY has it taken this long to get a Tintin/pony crossover? THAT IS AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteHmm. This may just be the most win-filled drawfriend I have ever seen. #21 is... just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteMan, I could not get #1 out of my head while sleeping; it begs for a story to be written for it, but I don't feel I could do it justice.
ReplyDeleteThat's not only a testament to the work (#1) itself, but how powerfully connective these characters are that Faust designed, making us wonder and extrapolating beyond the bonds of the show.
#1 That blue feather... Aw hell now I got something in my eye =(
ReplyDeleteAnyone else catch Pinkie in the first pic XD
ReplyDelete11 is best, IB4 the take down
ReplyDeleteI like how Pinkie Pie is still breaking the fourth wall and travelling in time, in #1. (Far left)
ReplyDelete#1 Did anyone notice Butterscotch (male Fluttershy) in the top-left corner?
ReplyDelete@masem
ReplyDeleteI can think of a few fics that come rather close to giving such a feeling. "Tales" for example is one that comes to mind.
1. Im-pressive. Why is my heart hurting?
ReplyDelete12. We've progressed to giving imaginary foods labels. Gods save us.
17. Allie Way? Okay.jpg I like the character (lanky mare FTW), but I'm attached to ponibooru's "Flo".
38. First thing I thought was, "Scootaloo's mark would be an awesome tattoo for a girl."
Each time I see 1st image my heart tears apart ;.;
ReplyDeleteBeautiful but sad.
First image is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteNumber 11... While I do find straight hairity to.be adorable/strangely attractive, I do not like that picture simply for the word on the shirt. I wouldn't call a woman that, much less my second favourite pony... Maybe I'm just old fashioned? (lol, old fashioned at 18)
#1 it's sad but beautiful ;) old twilight with her mentor and best friend, surrounded by things which belong to her friends... feather from rainbow, apple from applejack, baloon form pinkie, butterfly from fulttershy and clothes from rarity.
ReplyDelete#2 i love it for two reasons ;D i love applebloom and I like the way it's done ;)
#26 dammm it's cute :3 little berry smile is awsome :D
(sorry for my english, it's not my native language ;P )
>People getting mad over #11
ReplyDeleteThis doesn't undermine the fact that it's the absolute hottest picture of any pony to ever be made.
Pinkie Pie confirmed for immortal deity.
ReplyDelete@mycutiemarkisagun
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding? It's no curse if the right person is bearing that weight. I'd take it up in a heartbeat if it was offered. I can always get new friends!
(... yes, I know, I amazingly miss the point of this series XD)
12 needs to be on a shirt. Shut up and take my money!
ReplyDeleteThis drawfriend is so epic e-e
ReplyDeleteMy Applecopter goes SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI SOI...
ReplyDelete#19 Does anyone besides me see the goatee?
ReplyDelete1: Epic detail on this one, it's fantast- is that Pinkie Pie in the background? 0_0
ReplyDelete19: Not sure why, but I really like this one. Something about the mane...
28: All of the love. All of it.
Nice drawings! And i've got to agree with the CMC's Cutie Marks.
ReplyDelete@P.Slater
ReplyDeleteAs you wish: Sweet Apple Acres design on a t-shirt.
I plan to get one too.
@Tast
ReplyDeleteIn this case, at least, being old-fashioned is a good thing.
As for the four or five people fawning over #11, what is it you find so appealing about Rarity wearing a t-shirt reading 'Slut'? I just don't get it. Seriously.
The Applecopter goes soi soi soi soisoisoisoisoisoisoi...
ReplyDelete#24 Applebloom as Tira? Awesome! (Even though Tira is terrible. :P)
ReplyDeleteRe #1:
ReplyDeleteOne episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation (The one with David Ogden Stiers) had a society where the life acheivement ceremony and funeral are combined.
Spike has one last task to perform for his friend, as befits a hero, despite her not being a Viking.
#16 is freaking epic! I can totally see Trixie as LeBlanc. I demand more pony/LoL crossover art! XD
ReplyDelete#1
ReplyDeletePinkie Pie is timeless
#1
ReplyDeleteI love this picture. I love how cute a sleeping old Twilight Sparkle looks. I adore Derpy and Raindrops up there. I look at all the background ponies and wonder in awe at how much detail the artist took.
This I see Pinkie Pie.
And the fourth wall is gone.
I cannot look at the picture anymore.
Pinkie is a time traveller
ReplyDelete#1's definitely a beautiful picture, but it does cast a rather sad light on Celestia when you think about it...I mean, how many friends, star students, and loved ones had she grown to care for and hold dear to her heart, only to lose to the inevitable passage of time?
ReplyDeleteGood thing she and Luna seem to have patched things up...in the long run, they each may very well be all the other has. :[
@MeiThere are words on her shirt? I didn't see any. Silly laptop.
ReplyDelete*Checks again*
Oh my.
This Harwick guy really needs a DA page.
ReplyDeleteWhy is everyone freaking out about #11? I agree that it seems rather out-of-character for Rarity to label herself a slut, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a pretty cute picture. I disassociate myself from most fandoms because they get too sexual; now I'm fed up with this one because it's too prudish. x.x
ReplyDelete@Fluffy
ReplyDeleteWhich is like saying Cartoonlion's "Futashy" pictures are cute except for the male anatomy.
You can certainly call parts of this fandom "prudish" if you want, but in this case I think people are upset over the disrespect towards (or even debasement of) Rarity's character.
@jodyjm13
ReplyDeleteWell, some of them are a little adorable, in my opinion, but that's beside the point.
Yeah, I guess I can see where you're coming from, but it still seems like overreaction to me. If the artist really hated Rarity, they wouldn't have drawn her. If they really meant to disrespect her, I imagine they would go a lot farther than just writing a suggestive term on her shirt.
I dunno. It frustrates me when people whine about a piece of art's subject matter and completely ignore the actual skill and thought that went into the picture itself. I can understand getting worked up over, say, porn, but complaining because there's a word you don't like on the picture seems silly.
Then, writing two paragraphs about finding this silly is probably silly, too. So, y'know... TL;DR Overreaction is rampant.
@Fluffy: "Overreaction is rampant."
ReplyDeleteThis is the internet; do you really expect anything else? ;)
I really don't like her t-shirt in that drawing, and I can understand how someone would have an even stronger reaction against it; on the other hand, I can understand how someone could say it's not a big deal. As long as they don't cross the line into insulting people they don't agree with, I try to tolerate expressions of either opinion.
(As for how I feel about it, bipedal pin-up type poses aren't really my cup of tea, but I agree that without the t-shirt, it would've been a cute, nicely-drawn picture.)
About #36, I hope I'm not the only one that made that noise when that happened in the actual episode.
ReplyDelete#1: "one last parade"?
ReplyDeleteconfound these ponies, they drive me to tears
No1 is very sad. Twilight's last parade/party. For a being like Princess Celestia and a long lived dragon like Spike it must be very very sad. They probably know that Twilight won't last much longer after this parade.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of mortality and how short life really is. In another 50 years, I probably won't be here at all. And 50 years is but a drop even in human history.
Twilights' parade music:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.frontiernet.net/~computerrepair/SilentMovieMarch.mp3
(Sorry....too lazy to make it clicable.)
@Harwick
ReplyDeleteWhere is a good place to find your art?
@Onnane Garron
ReplyDeleteTo date, all of my pony-related artwork has premiered here on EQD (4 Drawfriend images, a single-panel comic and the Kiki's Delivery Service-themed Halloween banner.) People have been kind enough to upload these to the ponibooru website as well, under the tag "artist:harwick".
Like many bronies before me, I can't help but feel the crushing ache of sadness from seeing #1.
ReplyDeleteI'd smile at the wall breaking Pinkie, (or RELATIVE of Pinkie) but my eye is always drawn back to Spike and Celestia's forlorn expressions and Twilight looking aged and fragile...
@Harwick
ReplyDeleteFor as good as you are, I find it hard to believe that is all there is of your art. Do you just not post it for some reason?
just finished reading http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/04/story-summer-twilight.html and come back and find #1 minutes later. Celestia i need a drink *tear*
ReplyDelete@Onnane Garron
ReplyDeleteThank you for the compliment (and that goes for everyone else who had such nice things to say about my image.) I work in the video game industry producing concept and production art, so I create quite a bit of artwork that I don't own myself. I have an (out of date) professional portfolio online, but as I'm not hurting for work right now drawing attention to it would simply be a way of tossing all of my contact info out there, and I like my privacy.
I took to doing some pony artwork as a way to blow off some steam, usually done in snippets of time while waiting for feedback from a client. It's fun, but any image I do only progresses and gets polished as far as my interest in it holds out. Images that get as far as the one above are actually fairly rare, as work often leaves me burnt out. (And even with this one, I still mostly see all of the things that need to be fixed or taken much further.)
So really, there's no wealth of quality stuff from me that people are missing out on. I will say that I quite enjoy sharing these pictures with the fandom at large... It's a very positive and enthusiastic bunch, and it pushes me to find the time to do more to share.
#37
ReplyDeleteMonster Hunter and MLP. AWWWWWWWWWWWW YEAAAAAAH.
#1... Butterscotch? Hey,Wrong world.
ReplyDelete@Harwick
ReplyDeleteI can understand you wanting your privacy then and the desire to keep this as a fun side hobby.
Please remember there are a few of us that appreciate viewing everything an artist does though, even the unfinished work. I enjoy art for the story it tells and even a simple sketch has a story.
Jeeze, it seems everypony is either whining about 11, or crying over 1.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I like 3, it's not that bad, and number 24 is kinda cool too.
