Twilight does lose a horn, for those squeamish on that sort of thing, but It's done in a comedic sort of way.

ReplyDeleteDiscord swallowed the only key and was ... vaporized? Not even the key was left. And I lost so much blood from losing my horn (which still hasn't grown back!), that I was in the hospital for almost two weeks.

ReplyDeleteThat horn thing was a little...it even hurted to me! Ouch! Somehow Twilight animation reminded me of Meat Boy (it just me, I think?), but the ending joke...LOL! That was really harsh but hilarious *cue MODOK theme*.

ReplyDeleteI wonder if anybody else noticed the device used to vanquish Discord look very very similar to the device used in the Angry Beavers Halloween Episode "day the earth got screwed up"; only in this animation the device wasn't thrown.

ReplyDeleteA little disturbed by Twilight losing her horn and bleeding out. But, the voicing and especially the end were pretty hilarious.
So I can't be the only one who noticed that Twilight's Cutie Mark was an upside-down pentagram (at least from the side). From a shot at 3/4, it looks like a slightly fat, faceless Starman.

ReplyDeleteI don't think a unicorn's horn would bleed that much (or at all) if it were cut off. I'm pretty sure that Unicorn horns (much like those of the Rhinoceros) are made of keratin rather than bone, which would explain why pony horns are the same color as their fur and hooves (being made of the same stuff and all).
