The people over at Ponygaf have put togeather a team to create a game that will make point and click adventure lovers squee like little girls, or at least get really excited. From reading the small blurb in their FaQ, it looks like it's going to be filled to the brim with Scootalove too.
Check out the teaser trailer after the break!

ReplyDeleteSeems like an pretty cool thing. Ponies aren't afraid of anything and something however that meme goes.
ReplyDeleteI liked point-and-click since the Submachine series. Those were dudesome.

ReplyDeleteOkay, this looks cute and fun. Count me interested.
ReplyDeleteHappy Scootaloo is the best kind of Scootaloo. Though now theres another, game i'm waiting for.
ReplyDeleteCUTIEMARK CRUSADERS -POINT&CLICK ADVENTURE!!!! YAY!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome, and yay for Scootalove, same for Sweetie Belle and Applebloom.
ReplyDeleteBut wow, looks tough...i mean, escape from the clubhouse? Challenge Accepted *Rainbow Dash salute*
a graphic adventure which first mission is getting out of a closed room?
ReplyDeleteI'm liking this idea
CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS: VIDEO GAMERS!
ReplyDeleteYAY!
What's a 'video' anyway?
My Little Pony and Point n' Click adventure games.
ReplyDeleteThis may be the greatest thing ever.
I only hope the puzzles are complicated and follow traditional adventure game logic.

Our main inspiration for this title's gameplay is Day of the Tentacle, if anyone remembers that. :)
Do want!
ReplyDeleteYay! I would give it a shot.
ReplyDeleteColor me excited.
ReplyDeleteI was never good at these types of games. However, when it gets finished, I shall somehow beat this game.
ReplyDeleteGuess I'll go get my brain used to the illogical-ness these games tend to have at times; right after I figure out how to open my door with this flower pot. :D
"filled to the brim with Scootalove"? Not sure if want.
ReplyDeleteThis looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteGreat. Another awesome looking game to wait for and it's my favourite kind of game too, Adventure Game!
ReplyDeleteHow is this community so...creative...and organized... It's so awesome it's bordering on...creepy? Heck nah! It's still awesome! Everyone is getting excited and making something!
ReplyDeleteThe fandom is outstripping the professionals in speed and quality. That makes me squee!
Point&Click dudes, you have my full support. I will definitely play this when it comes out. I was a Lucas Arts addict when I was younger (Full Throttle FTW).
@Scootaloo
ReplyDeleteStop calling yourself thing you don't know the meaning of, Scootaloo! =P
Looks like it might be good for a try.
ReplyDelete@Mr Nutt On a side note I just posted on my blog about an Adventure Game idea of my own before seeing this post so mind = blown... or what ever people say these days.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a REAL point and click adventure unless some game overs are involved. You know, DEATHS! Kinda like in the Sierra Games!
ReplyDeleteI don't hate this!
ReplyDelete@Herooftime1000 I'm guessing you're not a LucasArts adventure game fan then.
ReplyDeleteWow, this could be really good.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who thought " Gobliiins " When I saw this? I hope not.
ReplyDelete@Mr Nutt
ReplyDeleteI am! I loved Monkey Island and Sam and Max, I just love the Quest for Glory and Space Quest games as well!
Anyway, it's not important, but I hope to make Sierra style game where death is possible to a poor pony.
@Herooftime1000 Oki Doki Loki!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love point and click adventure games! :D
ReplyDeleteNo Death, no Gobliins. Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to this!
ReplyDeleteWait....Point & Click Adventure?
ReplyDeleteDo you mean.....
OLD SCHOOL LUCASARTS SCUMM STYLE?!?!?!!???!
*watches vid*
......
*rips wallet in half yanking out money, starts furiously throwing cash at the screen*
TAKE MY FUCKING MONEY
ALL OF IT
Oh hell yes, I llove it, I even love that piece of music!
ReplyDeleteI'm old enough to remember playing the original King's Quest. I'm all for some new point and click!
ReplyDeleteOkay, this and Fighting is Magic are the two games I am REALLY looking forward to now. I LOVE Point-and-click adventures and one about the CMC would be just PERFECT.
ReplyDeletePlease keep us up to date guys, you got yourselves another fan!
Alright, I switched to a new Blogger account I will never use except for posting on ED with a fancy avatar.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comments, we're really happy you guys like it so much :)
The Demo is coming very soon, we have one or two things we'd really like to add first, but with a bit of luck, we're ready to show it to you in a few days.
Now, don't let this stop you from commenting :3
Haha, I wonder if in the vain of Maniac Mansion and such, if you'll be able to grab just about everything.
ReplyDeleteOMG YES! For the longest time I've wanted to see a point-and-click adventure game, and lookie here. Hecks yeah! :D
ReplyDelete@Myke Greywolf
ReplyDeleteDude, that's my second favourite game ever. After Monkey Island II. This looks amazing.
I kind of blame floating camera games for killing off point and clicks. Damn you, third dimension!
I'm okay with this.
ReplyDelete@Tears of a Valedictorian I'm not sure you can say adventure games are quite dead yet since they are only games Telltale Games makes... also it would be awesome if they had the licence to make a game.
ReplyDeletePoint and click Cutie Mark Crusaders? *Puts on sunglasses.* I'm in.
ReplyDelete@Mr Nutt
ReplyDeleteThat's a really good point, I always forget about Telltale. I'm not a huge fan of their graphic style, but I'm really glad they're out there making games like this.
You're right though, it'd be awesome if they made a MLP game. In fact, after seeing the youtube vid above and playing Story of the Blanks, I'm pretty down with the CMC being the go-to adventure game ponies.
They have the right mix of enthusiasm and fearlessness and cluelessness.
@Mr Nutt
ReplyDeleteHaha, the Back to the Future games were damn well excellent they were.
@Tears of a Valedictorian Yup that's true, but unfortunately I just remembered how the BBC managed to screw up something as perfect as a Doctor Who adventure game... but then again this isn't a BBC show so we should be safe.
ReplyDelete@drakethedragon
That it was.
What is scootalove? Is it Scootaloo and Dash shipping? :/
ReplyDeleteScootayay! This looks legit!
ReplyDeleteThe Longest Journey is one of the most fantastic games ever created and it didn't have deaths for the main character.
ReplyDeleteYay! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteMusic is a little like form Harvest Moon: BTN game. :D
@Myke Greywolf
ReplyDeleteThe main inspiration is DotT? This bodes very well. Now, to actually watch the trailer!
As a lover of adventure genre I support this game 100%!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazingly awzum! I can't wait! I LOVE point and click games!
ReplyDeleteLooks very nice, might have to follow its development :)
ReplyDeleteDayum, another pony game. There must be near a dozen or more pony games in the works right now. Wow. Ponies sure love to game. lol
ReplyDeleteI've got high hopes for this one. :>
ReplyDeleteWoah! First Gabu comes up with My Little Investigations and now we have a point and click game. Looking good so far and I can't wait to see more!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't view trailer on my mobile. Is excited anyway.
ReplyDeleteThe Dig by LucasArts is my favourite game of all time. ...So... I AM EXCITED.
ReplyDeletePlease please please finish this game!
Reminds me of old retro point and clicks like Maniac Mansion/Day of the Tentacle.

ReplyDelete@Moony
ReplyDeleteActually that would be scootabuse. She's underage, you know.
I think he means "gets some love" like gets some goodies/fan content. Only abbreviated. Scootalove.
SHOW THAT TABLE WHO'S THE BOSS!
ReplyDeleteCheck out the playable demo on their website. It was release quite awhile ago, but works great!
