ReplyDeletePortals first, then time machines. Time machines, have to account for breaking both space and time, not to mention several other Laws of Existence in order to travel through time. Portal however, only break maybe 2-3 laws so they're substantially easier to make.

ReplyDeleteEspecially since once the portals are done, we'll have unicorn magic to help us build the time machines.
