Well, this one kind of came out of left field.
Yet Another Pony Podcast did a special toy episode where they cover a wide array of pony toys. The Canterlot playsets and the papercraft sets were some of the ones they covered, and you can find that podcast here.
But also included with the email was an interesting addition- an interview a friend of the team did, by the name of Midnight Dreams, with Ellen McLain, the voice of GLaDOS in Valve Software's Portal and Portal 2. They asked her some questions about ponies, and she said she'd gladly (ha) voice a pony if Studio B asked her to.

ReplyDeleteIf I recall corectly there was a TF2 voiceclip where the Announcer (played by Ellen Mclain for those who don't know) says "A friendship has been detected, and will be eliminated!" Just thought I'd throw that out there.

ReplyDeleteTwilight creates a computer that she designed to help her study friendships more efficiently and also pass on the information to others who might need to learn. The computer ends up becoming too smart and gains intelligence, however it can't feel true emotions and therefore true friendship. It installs itself into a mobile capsule and travels the world trying to remove all emotion from everything and becomes a recurring villan for the rest of the season.
Bonus points if it can turn into a giant robot.

ReplyDeleteAh, yeah. I'm glad she touched on some points of acting and singing and how they're aren't always so similar like some think they are. And how you don't just leap into acting or the like suddenly, takes time and learning. lol One of my little pet peeves I suppose.
ReplyDeleteBut this is a fun little interview. Couldn't really make out her voice very well unfortunately when she does it in-character, but I'm glad they seem to be having a good time.

It's so awesome that he managed to talk to her about MLP. So glad to see this on EQD, and we really hope Studio B contacts her for Season 3.

ReplyDeleteJust got around to watching this. The beginning was a little painful to watch, but it got better. Brony needs to tone it down a little. Once she got talking about Portal she was better.
