Oh awesome, I love these little snippets of development, they're short but still really interesting to watch. And the old title sounds just depressing, "Dress for Failure"?
I simply can't get enough of those videos. It's great to see the amount of dedication and patience the animators put into this show! We may be getting just a small part of it (with a little fun on the side) but every time I see it and share it with my animator friends we become even more impressed by the show's standards.
Watching that scene was the first time I really noticed that the show was made in flash. I always knew but the way Rarity's face moves at the start was the first time it really hit me. That is either a comment on the quality of the show or at my poor attention span.
Yay we're getting to learn more and more about the history of FIM i wonder when we'll have the full info about what really happened between 2008 and 2011
The most impressive part of that video was how weird it sounded without the sound effects. MLP:FiM really uses a lot of sound effects, and it's part of the reason why I just love the show.
Very nice. Before these things I assumed art and logic were disjunct fields of study. Now I know for sure that animation does indeed seem to have logical patterns in it.

Ah that scene at the end got me. I like these videos a lot for some reason.
ReplyDeleteI think you mean "original title" rather than "real name." Just saying. :p

ReplyDeleteThe Derpy at the end was a hilariously pleasant surprise.
ReplyDeleteThat last shot WAT
ReplyDeleteSo Derpy's pet is a... pile of soot?
ReplyDeleteSo much... derp!

ReplyDeleteDerpy was pleasant, but why is she holding a Dead Philomina?
ReplyDeleteDat Derpy.
ReplyDeletethe end is so... lol
ReplyDeleteWho else said "WTF" when that last few seconds flashed?
ReplyDeleteSo does this mean Derpy is Rainbow Dash's pet, seeing as all the pets are stuck in the tree.
ReplyDeleteDid anypony else realize that ALL of the pets are also "derped" in the last scene lol
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteMakes sense to me
>twilight shrug.jpg
The derp eyed plauge is spreading.
ReplyDeleteIs that one of Applebloom's cupcakes?
ReplyDeleteQuite lot of attention the show actually needs!
ReplyDeleteDidn't he say that after the 4th and final Evolution of a Scene, he might do a teaser for season 2?
ReplyDeletehaha, I would've preferred Dress for Failure

ReplyDeleteLooped by an awesome brony. (not me)
Jinratgeist always has great uploads; Owlowiscious' exorcist moment at the end is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThat derp ending

ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU. Fukken saved.
So many Derpy artifacts!
ReplyDeleteYay we're getting to learn more and more about the history of FIM i wonder when we'll have the full info about what really happened between 2008 and 2011
ReplyDelete@Firleycat Probably more of the former. They really do an amazing job with flash.
ReplyDeleteLOL it's the MAMA'S CUMMING scene!
ReplyDeleteI love these behind the scenes looks that we get from the artists. I'd love to see more of them share bits and pieces of how the show is done.

ReplyDelete720p gif for whatever reason
DERPY HOOTS!
ReplyDeleteI Love the attention to detail they put into all the episodes FiM.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if other animated tv-shows are this careful with the details.
I love those little tidbits of extra animation at the end of these.

Just watched the animatic (think video storyboard with sounds) of EP13 of MLP season 2, and personally, it's my fave episode of the season, so far. :)

Has anyone noticed this?!

ReplyDeleteDAT END SHOT
ReplyDelete^I guess modern art in particular confounds me though
ReplyDeleteDAT END SHOT INDEED!
ReplyDeleteYet another successful video is made to be watched! A big plus for making comparisons to the two versions easier as well!
ReplyDeleteBundling with some fun trivia, and oh god, the ending makes it worthwhile. :)
@Shiko
Indeed. I didn't notice that until a few days ago. Tis sound effects are the lil'things that make the very difference of the show.
I fell out of my chair from the wtfness at the end.
ReplyDeleteTis a good thing.
Lol, Dress for Failure. I like Suited for Success more.
ReplyDeleteSeems Owlowiscious needs an exorcist.
ReplyDeleteI really hope these at least to some extent show up on the DVDs one day.
ReplyDeleteAlso, dat ending.
Derpy ain't no pet!
ReplyDeleteYup, definitely an overall improvement. Just takes trying different things to see what works best.
ReplyDeleteThe scene at the end... oh jeez. lol Gave everyone derp eyes too, funny. :P
@ the last second or 2.
ReplyDeleteGummy is Spider-Gator. lol.
All the animals were done derpifide.
ReplyDeleteDat scrunchyface! The animators must have saw all the hype with Derpy and stuff. xD
