The store she located it at was called "The Crows Nest". I really hope that doesn't mean we will have to dig through smaller retailers for one of these! Out of all of the official FiM toys, this set is on the top of my list.Apparently they are distributed by "Big Time Toys", if that helps anyone in the hunt.

I found a Dash one at a Newbury Comics here in MA for $6 that I snagged. And it wqas the only one there too. I have been to several other stores looking for the otghers but I haven't had any luck, I haven't even found another Dash =(

ReplyDeleteFound one of each at Ala Moana's Animation Magic in Honolulu, HI. Paid $6.99 for Rainbow Dash. Wings seem a little bit brittle, but are attached well - should stand up to normal keychain use.
ReplyDeleteThe wings are nice and bendy, actually! They're not supar-solid, but they don't look like a cheesy gummy type thing either, thankfully.
ReplyDeleteI have both and Pinkie Pie is hanging out on my messenger bag with my gryphon and Doctor Who pins, but poor Dash, her eyes were printed badly and they are derped, I mean, not like the normal toys where they're wall-eyed, but a serious case of derping. I tried my hand at fixing her eyes up with paint but failed. Other people who have them, are derped Dashes common? I mean, there's no way to tell from the way they're blister packed. :<
I would love to get another one if I knew mine was a rare-ish eff up. I mean HER EYES ARE CORRECT, EVEN THE EYELASH CURVE (or lack thereof.) So it's frustrating.

ReplyDeleteOn second look, you're right about the wings - I had mine still in the package, so I was going off of looks.
The eyes are perfectly normal on mine. I've seen a couple of unwrapped Pinkie Pies and didn't notice anything unusual on their eyes either.

They have had these at Newbury Comics in the Boston area for several months now.
