For those of you curious about going all the way into this fandom, this right here might be one of the ultimate steps aside from getting a pony tattoo. Though, I still think a smug ass Trixie on my calf would be amazing.

Everypony, face facts...Hasbro will always make Celestia pink - Pink Princesses DO sell better on the whole than white ones. This was proven by the power of Marketing and countless Focus Groups - white toys sell less than pink ones when dealing with a young female audience!

Umm, Celestia *is* slightly pink in the show. This is pretty close to her real colors, especially considering she is over white background.

ReplyDeleteWhich honestly I question... Focus groups are rarely accurate, and most kids I've known in my life care more that a toy is accurate to the show they love more than anything else.
The only girl that would like the pink monstrosity that is the talking Celestia would be ones who've never seen the show and just want a pink horse with wings.
I was expecting some thing that looks a bit worse, but this doesn't look too bad. I think this could work, I have a old Purple and White duvet cover that I think will go great with this. The pillow cover doesn't matter as they tend to be past around my house at random but it would be nice to match everything for once.

ReplyDelete1. Celestia is in fact a very pale pink. My TV's colors are screwed up so she looks way more pink than white. Not as pink as the toy Celestia but she's not white either.

Don't think of it a sheet - think of it as fabric. Just because I wouldn't put it on my bed doesn't mean I wouldn't wear a shirt made from it.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't buy those sheets..... my room's more Luna colored, it wouldn't fit. I think they could do a bit better on the Twilight pillow, too. Other than that, no objections. Celestia seems less pink than the toy, so they're making progress. I might even go buy a throw blanket for the winter.

Certainly doesn't excuse the oversaturated monstrosity that is the Celestia toy.
The Celestia on these bedsheets is still a smidge too saturated, but that's nothing compared to what they did to her mane colors...
So when I get this and a RD tattoo I become the ultimate level brony?
