      I was... kind of amused.

Today we have learned that Cereal is greatly amused by Scootaloo = Chicken jokes.

What came full circle though? I'm...not getting it.

I laughed way more than I should have at such a silly joke, but it was actually funny. Maybe I'm just easily entertained by Scootaloo the chicken. Or in this comic's case, the Cucco. I wonder if Anju keeps her in a pen?

Sir, please make it your priority this instant to go buy/pirate any LoZ game (Preferrably Ocarina of Time/ A Link to the Past) Before you are overrun by a herd of chickens as seen in the series.

FOR ANYONE WHO DOES NOT GET THE JOKE.
In the Zelda games there are chicken like creatures that are called "Cucco" Cucco's can be used to hover across small gaps. In this comic Link uses Scootaloo instead because everyone knows that Scootaloo is a chicken.
Now go play a Zelda game.

I'm playing through Wind Waker for the first time, and I kept feeling like something was just not right. But I couldn't put my finger on it. Now I realize:

THERE ARE NO CHICKENS IN WIND WAKER.

There's pigs, but it's just not the same. As far as I'm concerned, the lack of chickens means Wind Waker is not canon, and also the worst video game ever made.

I'm kidding of course, actually, it's my favorite Zelda. Could use more Scootaloo, though.

I understand the joke, but i'm unsure as to why it is metaphorically, "Completing the circle". What was the circle it's supposedly completing?

As for the joke itself, I've been a fan of Zelda for many years, so to see this gives me happy feelings.

I'm feeling ashamed that I have ever played a Zelda game. And I'm not even young either.

      Same with Monkey Island.

I have nothing against them. It just never happened.

Two legends I somehow never got to play. :(

      That being said...

If I want to check out Zelda, where should I start?
As far as I am aware Zelda has a huge legacy with like dozens of episodes (prolly exaggerating here), so...which episode should I play if I'm not planning to play each an every episode from the beginning?

The games are all self-contained, with blink-and-you'll-miss-them connections. No need to worry about an overarching plot or canon.

For quality, Ocarina of Time and Link's Awakening are my favourites. But there really isn't a terrible game in the series, so you can grab whatever's at the local game shop and be good.
