Otherwise it's defaulting to the Trixie, who is already the technical blog mascot. The choice is yours artists!
Anyway on with the news! After the break of course.
Brony Corrects the Physics Presentation
Those crazy physicists, they are all out to get eachother! I'm surprised Steven Hawking is still alive with how cutthroat that career is! This brony picked apart Physics Brony's presentation and corrected all of the little errors with cold, hard, scientific revisions. You can find the Google Document filled with all modifications here!
Ponies Invading Various Radio Stations
The Wired.com article seems to have had an effect on radio stations across the country. That or it's just easy to rip on. Various DJ's have jumped at the opportunity to laugh at the brony armada, using all sorts of made up facts and jargon to back up their wild claims. I guess they are pretty desperate now that the internet is so much more...convenient... than radio. You can find the stations linked below!
Preston and Steve in Fillydelphia
Alice 109.5's Slacker Steve
Dave and Chuck: The Freak (Who apparently ripped us pretty hard) Check out the newest podcast on their mane page and fast forward to 40:25
1080p Season 1 Torrent Collection
Mentos's HD Pony collection is now available via massive torrent. Thanks to Alexstraza for the upload! You can find that here!
Awesome German Rainbow Dash Cosplay

Another crazy cosplay has shown up. She definitely does a good job of pulling off Rainbow Dash. Apparently her name is Ankin, and this all took place during the Dokomi 2011 Anime/Manga convention ins Germany. Why can't we have cool names like that?
MTG Card set #2!
Another set of MTG cards has popped up for those of you who weren't satisfied with the last one (Even though it has way cooler flavor text!) You can find the new cards here!
MLP Theme converted to Klingon
I'm pretty sure we have remixed it with pretty much everything else, so why not? A few bronies over on Ponychan have transformed the MLP theme into the...complex... Klingon language. Trekkies everywhere would be proud.
Now someone needs to sing this and upload it to youtube for tomorrow's news post! We can't leave this unused!
You can find the post here!
World of Tanks EU Clan
For those of you in last night's thread complaining about a lack of EU presence in World of Tanks, fear not! A brony by the name of Pawel has set up a chat channel over there, simply named "Pony" to gauge interest on how many people would be up for joining a FiM clan.
Least I Could Do Comic Artist Goes Pony
I think pretty much every comic artist on the internet has hit this point. It's pretty unavoidable. He hasn't dropped an actual pony comic yet, but at least he is sporting a pony avatar. I have been told that this comic is pretty NSFW, so read at your own peril! You can find it here!
New Merch Poll!
A new poll can be found at the bottom right of the blog. This one will deal with what kind of merch you have bought for ponies so far. Maybe Hasbro can check it out and give us some official stuff or something, if the saucy images haven't scared them away already.
And that is it for tonight's roundup. Now I get to go through the long process of filing the entire day into the side bar! hooray.

ReplyDeleteYeah. I apologized on behalf of the fandom in my email, but it'd definitely carry a lot more weight if a sizable chunk of us apologized.
A public letter would be good, get the facts out and what-not...but i'm a little worried about tonight. I'm afraid some bronies may...repeat what happened last night.
ReplyDeleteAs many fellow bronies think, people're starting to catch wind of us bronies and many backlash might be had in the future. It's either we thicken our skins, be mature enough to deal with all of this, and make sure everypony else doesn't continue to think of us as creepy manchildren.
ReplyDeleteParents can certainly overreact too. Can't just sit around idle, waiting for srs bsns to happen before we actually do somethin. I think it certainly won't hurt us to address these issues...
"20 to 30 guys."

@Nick
ReplyDeleteI am for a mass letter. I think if we were to write such a thing, I think it would be best to send to wired to post it. Wired wrote the article which put bronies in the limelight, so if we got them to post it, then the radio shows are likely to see t.
Blogger seems to be eating my comments >_>
ReplyDeleteWell, as I was trying to say, sending it to Wired sounds good, but who would write it? I'd be willing to, but I can only really speak for myself. If we're really going to make this a letter from the fandom, we need to find a way to make this a big group project. Any ideas?
WOOOT this is the fella who does the Looking For Group comics :P
ReplyDeleteI'd be willing to write a piece, but I dunno how good it would be honestly.
ReplyDeleteQuality is less of a concern than sincerity, in my opinion. If we all write a piece explaining ourselves, apologizing for our less than favorable actions and promising to be good bronies and asking people to give it a chance before dismissing it, I think it'll go a good way farther than having some stunning prose would.
ReplyDeleteYeah...that's true. So how do we want to go about doing this?
ReplyDeleteI dunno. The more people we have doing this, the better, but I think it would be best if we at least got everyone involved in the raid. Then we could like... Skype, or use a message board or something and hash it all out maybe.
ReplyDeleteI seriously doubt you'll get everyone involved in the raid, since I was invited to a round 2 tonight on facebook and so were others who say they are attending. I just hope it doesn't get any worse or that it's a repeat of last night.
ReplyDeletei think it would help to also write how FiM has fixed peoples lives, from all those stories we heard before
ReplyDeletejust spitballing here
We can easily do it either way: either elect someone to write for us, on behalf of the group (of course, it would mostly be their point of view, but it would be figured that we are in agreement about most of what is said, if we wouldn't say it in the same way) or get on skype and write it together, then elect someone to edit it.
ReplyDelete@Pinkie_Pie_fan471
ReplyDeleteOnly two people are confirmed for that, and I just posted asking them not to go through with it and explaining our plan and such. Hopefully, this goes over well with them. In the meantime, I'll try and get in touch with some of the people who were involved and get them in on this.
@mariomarc
Sounds like a good plan. I recall seeing a very touching story on ponychan about a guy's encounter with an abusive stepfather from his past, and getting through it by thinking about lessons from MLP. That might be a good one to add, if anypony can get ahold of it.
@RobotPony
I think the most effective way would at least to have some input from multiple bronies, regardless of if one of us wrote it or we all did. One person speaking for many is less likely to be taken seriously next to multiple people speaking for themselves.
The whole raiding business needs to stop.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThat's what we're working on accomplishing. Hopefully I get through to them.
The revised pony physics paper was an interesting read. It didn't address all of the issues I had, like why a supposedly free-falling pony can accelerate faster than 1 G, which would have to be explained by RD having some type of propulsion system (farting rainbows) or Equestria being situated on an object more compact than the Earth, but, of course, you cannot cover everything. If you really wanted to get into it, you could tear nearly anything in the show apart with our universe's physics, so this isn't something that should be taken too seriously.

ReplyDeleteGhandi quotes in reaction to bashing? I approve
@Nick
ReplyDeleteI agree. How will we set up the discussion then? I'm fine with skype/aim/anything.
Alright, I messaged everypony on the event page. In addition, so we can stop cluttering the comments page with our babbling, I set up a forum for everypony to meet up on and continue planning.

Come sign up, and we can discuss.
I dont know why , but i absolutely adore that picture of lyra O.O
ReplyDeleteMorning show radio jockeys rail on a popular Internet thing they don't care about because they have nothing interesting to say and need to fill airtime. This is nothing new, and really nothing to get upset over. In a couple weeks they'll be back on whatever celebrity that just got arrested and won't even remember the pony cartoon thing, and anyone who still listens to them won't care either way. No need to give the haters more ammo to fire back at us, right?
ReplyDeleteThat said, I quite like the idea of Lyra and Trixie sparking a rivalry for the title of site mascot, or nightly roundup mascot, or (insert site feature here) mascot.
can anypony tell which podcast it was
ReplyDeletei wanna hear this shit
mfw when they played Equestia Girls :D
ReplyDeletebut seriously
these guys are assholes
@Andrew
ReplyDeleteAccurately describes what I feel. you can also extrapolate this onto the larger Gay and Gender rights movements in the USA.
Alright was looking at the MTG cards and then I came across Rarity, and the creature type was... Mule. So I stopped looking at the cards and deleted my browsing history so I would never have to go back and look at those cards again.
ReplyDeletethese 1080p videos have watermarks on them. a semitransparent "ei" in the upper left corner and a hub logo appears from time to time in the lower right corner.
ReplyDeleteLOL. "The Freak" Radio rant was so bad. A bro trend? What I don't get is where they get they're info from. 20 or 30 people? I sure hope they realize how many people are actually bronies. They talk about this stuff as if they know everything about it, and they don't even know what 4Chan is. I can't tolerate this well, because they are so clueless. They compare ponies to care bears? *sigh* The stupidity in this world.
ReplyDeleteBy the gods... What have I become...
