• The Shipping Chart: The Update: The Graph

As you might have guessed if you browse Equestria Daily without the No-Fanfiction filter on, the community we live in loves to ship ponies with ponies. Some of them even pony pony.

A while ago we posted a shipping chart by Grolloman that tabulated which ponies were on a boat with how many other ponies, as well as some information and neat statistics to back up it. This chart and information document has been updated with recent data, and the statistics lying within make for very interesting reading. For example, our fandom has a 67.4% Gayness rating. If you want to know what that means, you should probably look at the document.

You can find that here, and you can click the graph up top for a bigger version.

  • Target Trading Card Fat Packs at Target

As many of you have pointed out, new trading card fat packs have been melding in with the usual stock of pony cards.  I sent an email over to Enterplay to find out exactly what the deal was with these.  Apparently they are Target exclusives, and limited to select stores at that.   Each one includes:
    • A large foil sticker, seen on the front of the box if you want to collect them all
    • 9 character/pet/moment of friendship cards
    • 2 foils
    • 2 tattoo sheets
    • 1 sweepstakes card for a chance to win more cards
As the original submitter, Richard points out, that is four packs worth, plus the bonus collectable sticker (images above).   If they do well at Target, there is a good chance we will see them at other retailers in the future.

  • Twitter Questions for Donations Round 2 with Lauren Faust

The second round of questions with Lauren Faust over on Twitter has begun!  For a donation to the Wildlife Center Indiegogo campaign of 25 dollars, she will answer one question about either season one or general production.  Head on over here to give it a shot, or just lurk and learn a bit of stuff about our favorite ponies.
  • Tabitha St. Germain Returns to Everfree Northwest!

It looks like Tabitha will be joining the growing number of show guests planned to attend Everfree Northwest this year, complete with her usual shenanigans. Technically last year's was her first brony event in general, so I'm guessing she liked what she saw!

They also have a few other important updates for those planning on attending. Head on down below the break for all of it!

  • CinemaSins Parody: "Everything Wrong with Friendship is Magic: Part 1 in 2 Minutes or Less"

CinemaSins is a Youtube channel that exists purely to point out mistakes or faux paus in cinematic movies. This video by LittleshyFiM parodies that channel with a video pointing out the same things in the pilot episode of Friendship is Magic. Click the image to check it out, or head on down below the break.

  • Cineplex Listing Equestria Girls Duration and Extended Synopsis.

Forgive me if this popped up recently, but I don't think it has. Cineplex.com is listing the running time of Equestria Girls at 1 hour and 12 minutes, meaning it's a bit shorter than your usual kids movie.

They also have a somewhat updated synopsis, different from the last post
When a crown is stolen from the Crystal Empire, Twilight Sparkle pursues the thief into an alternate world where she transforms into a teenage girl who must survive her biggest challenge yet… high school. With help from her new friends who remind her of Ponyville’s Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy, she embarks upon a quest to find the crown and change the destiny of these two parallel worlds.
Hope you all are in the mood for some principal Celestia and lunch lady Granny Smith!

Thanks to Firestorm for the heads up!
  • Drawfriend Stuff #791

This almost ended up as another Rarity Vs. Giant crab header, but I didn't think two in a row on that was the best idea.  Have an epic Equestrian mountain/canyon scene instead!

    Onward to art.

  • Spotlight Music: I Live Forever / As She Fell Behind (Feat Blast Beat)

As many of you probably already know by now,  a new Chrysalis song has popped up from good old Mandopony.  This is probably one of his darkest yet,  and if you like metal,  it definitely shouldn't be missed!

And below, we have a collab between ISMBOF and Blast Beat.  If you haven't heard those names before, give the song a shot anyway!  I know you guys love acoustic vocal stuff, and this doesn't disappoint.

  • Animation: Investment Losses

FiM Flam Filosophy is back with yet another one of his crazy semi-animated videos.  Head on down below the break to check it out!

  • Yahoo Parenting - Ponies Included in List of "Sexualized Kids Toys"

Yes, you read that title correctly, and no, it's not due to the adult fanbase this time.  An article that went up over on Yahoo Parenting listed six "newly sexualized kid's toys", revamped from the 80's.  Included in the list, we have notables like Barbie, G.I. Joe, that random queen from Candy Land, and... pink Celestia?   Have a quote straight out of the editorial:
The first generation of My Pretty Ponies were plump and rather staid...
Not so in 2013. This sleek and sexy pony looks primed to prance around the stripper pole at the nearest jockey club.
Maybe it's the eyelashes? Celestia has some pretty bangin' eyelashes.  Yep...

Anyway, you can find the full article here!

And thanks to Alfredo for the heads up!
  • More Equestria Girls Theater Sightints - Clearview

Another small theater is hosting Equestria Girls for those that dont have access to the Digiplex ones listed a few days ago. Clearview Cinemas has it up on June 16th at quite a few theaters along the East coast.  Head on over here to check it out!

Thanks to Ashley for the heads up!
  • Nightly Roundup #646

Wouldn't pony tails, especially Fluttershy's overly long one, pick up a ton of dirt dragging on the ground all the time?  It must be a huge pain to keep those things clean.

    Have some roundup stuff!
