Poster artist DaisyHead here. Our movie for the week is an italian 1965 horror film, called Terrore Nello Spazio. Its english title is Planet of the Vampires. It's said by many critics to have been Ridley Scotts narrative and visual inspiration for Alien. Just the first one. The story centers around the crews of two ships, the Galliott and Argos, that explore uncharted territories in the universe. You know.
Like Star Trek. They receive a distress signal from a planet called Aura and they go to investigate. Hilarity ensues as the Argos is possessed by an unknown force and the captain, being the only one to resist the influence, has to fight for his life and get his crew to snap out of it. They land on the planet only to find out the other ship has been afflicted by the same force, but none survived.
They try to bury the bodies but find out that they bodies are disappearing, as well as crew members of the Argos . Deciding it would be best to leave, they have to repair the ship because of the damages made from the landing, and stop the force trying to kill them all.
