Drawfriend Stuff: Competition Edition - Ponies Playing with Ponies Results!

As is the norm for EQD competitions, we got absolutely flooded with a huge amount of awesome entries.  Unfortunately, only five could win the Toywiz Blindbags and Cards.  It's always difficult to decide on which deserve the prizes, but after a good amount of debating, these are our choices.  Overall we had around 145 entries, and the majority of them showed some amazing effort.  I'm still surprised at how interesting a few of these were.  You guys really know how to spin a template!

Pony Trading Cards : Sneak Peek #9 - Discord

Time for another sneak peak at the upcoming pony trading cards! Tonight we have for you the lord of chaos himself- Discord! Can't have a party without him, now can we? I spoke to the guy once, and he's pretty damn awesome. We can't all background ponies like Applejack all day long after all! We have some hard hitters in this pack!

The Hub's Comic-Con 2012 Schedule

According to Facebook, and what some of you have already figured out due to early posts, The Hub will be appearing at Comic-Con International. They have tossed their schedule up, and it looks like the pony stuff will be taking place on Friday, July 13 at 10:00AM. The Two Sides Project

I've actually had these in the queue for a while waiting for a few more to release, but she bribed me with Trixie! It's my only weakness! TehJadeh over on Deviant Art has been creating these really neat Two Sides posters for about half a year now.  Each shows the positive and negative sides of a pony, be it the Great and Powerful one's confidence vs doubt, or Pinkie Pie losing her mind.  I could see some of you using these as actual posters, I just wish some of the older ones were bigger on the actual deviant art page!  I might be derpin though, or Trixie is just the only one with the option for 2550x3285 resolution.

Zecora Joins Comic Con as Another Exclusive

It looks like Zecora will be joining Derpy at Comic Con.  The Toys R' Us booth will be showcasing her as one of their exclusives for later in the year, so fortunately for us, she won't be limited quantity!

Check out this snippet from the press release:

San Diego Comic Con - 8 Bit Pony Game and More Details on Trolley

Remember that commercial from a few months ago?  It is now a game, or soon to be.  People that visit The Golden Yolk during the Hub's comic-con takeover will recieve a code to go play it online! Have some snippet from the press release:

Visitors to the Broken Yolk will also receive a secret code to gain exclusive access on Hubworld.com to the eagerly anticipated "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic" themed, 8-bit "Adventure Pony" game already teased on the network.

I can't believe they did it! The Hub is best network.

And a bit more information on the trolley was also released:

To transport fans to and from the convention in style, The Hub will transform one car of the San Diego Trolley system to create a magical "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic" experience showcasing some of the series' most popular characters inside and out. The train will be styled as the Friendship Express train, which is featured in the popular animated series. 

Maybe they will have a MMMystery to solve while in transit?!

Inkie's version of Smile Smile Smile?  This is one of the more original and relaxing tracks in the fandom.   Suddenly I like Inkie Pie. 

We also have some Becoming Popular in the second slot. I'm way late on this one, so you all have probably already heard it!

Comic-Con Hub Hosted Pony Panel, Pony Trolley

It looks like San Diego is about to be bombarded by yet another round of pony.   The Hub will be hosting panels for each of it's shows, including a Friendship is Magic one at the upcoming comic con. Considering a Derpy Toy is their special edition release this year, I have a feeling it's going to be a ton of fun!

They also plan on taking over a trolley car and decking it out in Friendship is Magic stuff, along with a restaurant called The Broken Yolk.   That's a lot of pony!  I'm sure the brony presence will be completely insane as well. 

Game Trailer: Angel Bunny - Platforming Game

Just in case you guys had an urge to play that little gangster bunny Fluttershy tries to call a friend, a new game is currently in progress with almost terraria-like graphics.  As is the norm for ponies, its a platformer! It looks like there are some neat abilities for the little rabbit though, from super jumps to rabbit novas.

Brony Thank You Ad and Fund - Competitions and Updates

The Brony Thank You project has sort of taken the backburner to all this convention and documentary news lately, but it's still chuggin along at a pretty good rate!  They have a few competitions coming up, with rewards including some really awesome giant sized signed Comic Con posters. 

Anyway, have a list of news items below!

1) The Hub has asked us not to show the rough-cut of the ad at BronyCon, because Hasbro needs to give final clearance due to the use of their trademarks.  Instead, we'll be announcing the people who will be featured in the ad, along with pictures. Sunday, 4PM, Studying the Herd panel on the tail stage.

2) We've completed final video editing and are working on the audio at the moment. We should be ready to announce the Great Background Music competition within a week or so, winner to work with William Anderson on the final backing track.

3) The Hub has kindly donated three Season 1 "Comicon" posters, signed by *all* the Season 1 voice actors, and including a letter of authenticity.  There are only 24 of these in existence!  We will be receiving them next week, and will be announcing how bronies can get their hands on one then.
