I voted alicorn history, just because I generally like immensly powerful sidecharacters and still consider Celestia my favorite. But I was torn, because Derpy and Trixie in any form might be good, too.
As for the opening, Italian version all the way, even though the extended intro is full of delicious puns.

We already have a full 2 seasons of the new Doctor Who series, and Derpy is in a big of a mess as it stands right now. Not to mention the younger American/Canadian audience wouldn't recognize the British antics and terminology. Daring Do would be a MUCH better choice, for it already has some seeds in the main series and hasn't already been written and worn out online..

I think people are too biased towards whole Doctor Whooves, and Daring Do for Indiana Jones. That's why I voted for neither.
I would've liked Daring Do. But it would've inevitably lead to aliens as the storyline and ruined it for everyone. I've never seen Dr. Who, could be fun.
Honestly, there weren't that many options on the list that interested me. I'd be willing to dry a Daring Do or Doctor Whooves series, sure... but Daring Do wouldn't really be set in Equestria, which is a let down for me, and I'm not watching the real Doctor Who so I'm not sure that a parody/homage would really do much for me.
I'd follow the further adventures of Twilight in a more epic/magic series, surely (don't know what "Shonen Style" means though") but that one seems to be in the minority. Likewise, even though I have doubts about her as a lead character, Trixie across Equestria could be interesting. I'm not a big fan of prequels, but I'd be down with the Equestrian History one to some extent.
Honestly, give me some of the mane characters (if not all of them) in an adventure show with some continuity (instead of slice-of-life) and I'd be in heaven.

"Shounen style" refers to anime like Naruto, Pokemon, or Dragonball that's targeted primarily at school-age boys. Expect lots of shouting and fighting by hot-blooded protagonists.

I voted for the Twilight magic shounen arc. It didn't come in dead last! I am content.
I voted Daring Do, but I love Derpy as well. But after the whole "Last Roundup" incident, I don't think Hasbro wants to take a chance on pissing off the soccer moms again, and knowing Hasbro they will turn this show into a "Little Einsteins" like preschool show to prevent another fandom explosion like MLP FIM is getting now. Not that it's a bad thing but Derpy's eyes won't be the cock-eyed ones we know and love, and the voice won't be the funny voice we love to prevent "offending" anyone.

Well, kind of. The way I see it, there are three major things you could change in any combination with a spin-off/follow up:
1) The setting
2) The characters
3) The style of story (comedy, adventure, slice-of-life, etc.)
With the first one, I really like the world they've been building, so I don't want to change that too much. I'd be happy to get out of Ponyville, but I don't really want to go to the distant past or another reality all-together (Daring Do, for instance, exists in a separate reality than FIM... a fiction within the fiction. It'd be weird to have her show up in Canterlot or have characters cross over.)
With the Characters option, well... I love the characters. You're going to have to do a great job to replace them and not have it be a step down in comparison. I'm open to an attempt, but the initial appeal for me drops pretty quickly.
Which leaves the style of stories they tell... Here, I'm all for them going crazy and doing something big and different. I'm not really interested in seeing a different Slice-of-Life series focusing on some other group of ponies. To me that would just be hollow imitation, and unlikely to capture the same magic as this time around.
So yeah... I'd want a balance of new and old in any "next" series, ideally. But let's face it... the most likely thing will be a whole new generation of ponies with the names recycled from prior ones, but with new designs and such.
Maybe i'm being too negative not that I don't WANT to see Derpy again because I do, but we do live in a f###ed up world where a funny talking, cock-eyes pegasus would offend someone with disabilities. But I'll wait and see what happens.

Doctor Who is a very niche program in the first place, mostly among geeks, and Derpy is altogether unknown outside of the brony fandom. In all seriousness, I think Daring Do is more likely (And in fact, they probably are already gearing up for it).

If you look at it from an in-universe perspective, it's no stranger than Indiana Jones taking place on Earth. So Daring Do could quite easily still take place in Equestria.

As much as I liked the Daring Do episode, a CMC version of "Cutie Mark Chronicles" as a fleshed-out mini-series of how they earn their cutie marks would put my jaw through the floor. And possibly the earth.

I don't know about you guys but I voted for the side story that could actually happen. I am a Doctor Who fan but the likely hood of a Dr. Who/MLP: FiM crossover is slim to none. Personally I think the whole Doctor Whoof thing is funny but seriously guys it is a bit of a stretch.

3) Daring has the potential to be a great series without necessarily being a spin-off of Indiana Jones. The same way an RPG game can be awesome without copying Final Fantasy. Doctor Whooves and Derpy would wind up being a Doctor Who show with a companion who tended to break things instead of being overly helpful for a majority of the episode.

As for the Italian vs. English, I'd have to go English only because I can understand them. I'm going to bet that most of the people that think the Italian one is better is because they can't understand it and/or the fact that it's sung in a foreign language that they aren't used to, which makes it sound better (I feel the same).

I like Daring Do a lot, but DerpyXDoctor is the freakin Black Pearl of ships, brony. I would even settle for a DerpyXDoctor where the don't even time travel but just have some local adventures with Dinky if that pleases the copyright fanatics. They could even leave off the Whooves part of the name in exchange for a British accent for the Doctor.
I voted for the Doctor Who/MLP: FIM crossover because I really like Doctor Who. Which is funny, because this fandom is just one of the reasons I started watching Doctor Who. Now just gotta wait for season 6 to be added to streaming on Netflix.

I don't really ship Doctor/Derpy but I'm not above the idea of it and don't mind it. What I wouldn't mind would be either Ponified versions of the TV Companions (Roseluck, Martha, Sarah Jane, Donna Nobis (As a pun like Roseluck), Colonel Jack, etc, or him adventuring with one or more of the mane 6.
Also: If I shipped the Doctor with anyone it would probably be either Applejack or Pinkie Pie. But then again I have weird ships; I ship Big Mac/Zecora and Braeburn/Soarin (Thanks to the fanfic).

I voted for the Alicorns, I always like finding out more about places' history, including fictional places. As for Doctor Who, it does seem to fit quite well. The Doctor is unflinchingly moral, and totally awesome, so Equestria suits him fine.
I liked the background music on the Italian intro, but not speaking the language puts it at a disadvantage for me.
